The only versions that I support, and that are regularly updated are: US Gateway version 1.0.0 (Published by Me and updated weekly) EU Gateway version (Published by MasterKiwa and updated every 1-2 weeks)
v0.9.9 is the old beta version and is no longer being updated.
The EU version has some minor differences since I've allowed Kiwa to edit and add to the map if he chooses to, but the core of the game between the versions is roughly the same.
Any other version not published by us, and on different gateways, is a stolen map, likely bugged, imbalanced, and completely unsupported by me. Anyone posting feedback on these versions are wasting their time since I dont care about the problems in those versions, talk to the guy who stole and edited my map without my permission.

Why are the EU and US versions different? I don't think we have goliaths, and i saw someone complaining about the queenfestor which I found to be fairly useless on EU. You would think the map would be the same and just made compatible.
Stalkers lose to anything small and massed. High Teched marines that can be microed well are good Maraiders are good Marauders are decent, but against stalker lancer, you'll need to do a bit of micro Goliaths are great, they're small, can be massed, and have good armored damage.
Marauders arent meant to be a direct counter to Stalkers, since Stalkers are a T2. They're meant to be good, but not outright beat them.

Odin.. oh, you're playing the EU version, ok nevermind, that version's balancing is a bit different than mine.
I find stalkers slaughter marines. In fact I think stalkers may be too strong because they don't seem to have a counter, even marauder loses to them.
Does anyone else find heros lacking? Easy to kill and don't do much damage for their cost. I think every time i have made an odin I have lost because the guy costs an insane amount to revive and it's better to just put the money into upgrades. I don't think going hero upgrades instead of marine or merc upgrades is viable either.
Odin actually gives a 1.5k mineral bounty so once someone has one they are a target. and no way can he even kill enough troops to break even for his build and revive cost before he dies. Whenever I see an odin I just blink/stim watch odin die and get my 1.5k.
Heros are just not worth it I think. Take for example when the game starts. I find going marauder mercs gets me so much more income than making any hero first, such as hydralisk. I rarely ever see anyone make them.
thats why it called marine arena. it loses its value if u cant use them. mercs are there only to support marines. remember the object of the game is to be the last cc standing in order to win. now earlier versions it was easy to do that. the game has changed with time cause of the many creative players who come up with ways to win without using marines.how you invest in your units is your call. bottom line is its marine arena. Get back out there and be king.
Marines are still too easy to use and win. Every single other build takes more skill to win with. With marines you can just send wave after wave of marines that are just as good as your enemies mercs, and at the same time you are making more marines than your enemy is making mercs.
Kiwa's version is the closest to mine since I actually send him the map every now and then.
Those other versions are from the sc2 beta, they are months behind my version and are all likely bugged, rigged, and are garbarge, I do not support these maps.
My version is locked, and has been since before sc2 launched, no one but kiwa has my map. Kiwa's version is slightly different than mine, but it is the closest. The gas is due to when you want to upload a map on a different gateway, you must "localize" it first, localizing converts the map to work on the EU gateway (or any other gateway), but sometimes causes bugs and things to reset. There is nothing I can do about this because my version is US gateway only, you'll have to contact Kiwa directly if you want him to fix those hellions.
When I say costs gas I don't mean like a 1-2 normal hero upgrade gas cost I mean 150+ gas cost.
Also i cant think of a good reason for your allies merc compound and marien spawn to stop if he leaves. it means the ally of the leaver has no chance. spawn should continue and he should be able to upgrade the leavers troops with the money the leaver gets with his kills.

I play Eu and I have some comments. Please lock your map because we have mentally challenged people editing it and making it rigged then uploading it and those versions stay at the top of the list. We have over 12 marine arenas on the EU list and the last one I played one player started with around 8 kerrigans and 8 ghosts..
The one at the top now is by kiwa and i think its offical or something but many upgrades like hellion upgrade still cost gas... so does spectre upgrade.. since marine arena was released i check hellion to see if the gas cost is fixed and it never is
We've already crunched the numbers and found that the teched marine investment is actually more then teching your mercs. You just need appropriate marine counters since they spawn faster than your mercs.
If against teched marines, your marines should atleast have their range/attack speed upgrades, everything else will come with your merc ugprades. Your mercs should have very high armor and health, and have their merc shop upgrades. You want to use either stalker lancers, or maraiders with maxed splash damage. Both of these mercs have the same or longer range than teched marines and can kill multiple marines with high splash damage.
Consider getting an HT or Infestor to back up your army, late game they cost less than a single upgrade. Keep them behind your army and use psi storm on the front of the enemies marine army as you attack them, this will cause their army to constantly run into the psi storm as marines die. If you just psi storm them without attacking them, the marines will automatically move out of the storm.
Use infestors to root marines in place and create choke/weak points for your mercs to exploit.
Marines prove to be as much of an investment as any other tech. Ive tech all three ways and i find the marines to be my fave. though it is fun to get a HT and pwn with it till you get an archon. one of those with full HP and armor is a pain to kill.
Marines seem too easy to use and they are very very strong late game, too strong.
You barely get any resources for killing them while they still get plenty for killing your mercs that you invest in. They easily go toe to toe with these mercs also. It just seems like they should be weaker and not so easily abused. Most games if someone decides to go with a marine build, they win. I can easily go marines every game and win but they are also the most boring to use in my opinion.
Are there really easy ways to kill marines that don't make me spend thousands more than for what these simple cheap marines cost? If not they really need to be nerfed.
They have plenty of counters and cost alot to build.
Players who spend that much on a single unit deserve to have it do some serious damage. If no heroes got their money's worth, no one would ever buy them.
Learn to use a ghost to EMP, to use stalkers that hurt heroic units, to use abilities that root your opponent in place such as fungal growth or gravitation beam.
250mm strike cannons do 1750 to units and cannot be avoided.
Yamato does 1000 to units and cannot be avoided
EMP will completely drain a heroes shield
Ghost snipe will do 1250 damage
Spectre Mind Lash will do 4000 (and I think it cannot be avoided unless 'sight' is broken)
Also the map warns you when an archon is forming. I also warns you when a DT and HT enter the map. You see these warnings, expect that someone is going to use it on you and go kill it early. People dont buy heroes to have it idle in their base all day.
Arcons in 1.0 are beyond retarded, there is no counter what so ever for those unit, hell they can literally tank 3 base savers without dying, what were you thinking?

No, its a defensive ability to protect your base from heroes.
You can use supportive abilities (calldown mercs) to chase heroes.
You can use offensive ability like Yamato or EMP, or Hero Snipe to do high damage to heroes.
can you put it on all the towers though?
Queenfestor has multiple models attached to it. This is actually due to me being lazy and not adjusting the actor.
After I made it and saw it had two queens and an infestor model attached to it, I called it a queenfestor and left it like that because it looked cool.
Queenfestor is a HUGE investment, so it should be able to do alot of damage. If anyone spends that much on a unit, its gotta have the possibility to make its money's worth. Its not impossible to kill, if you find it and focus fire on it for a few seconds, you can have it. Also you can root it with another infestor, or use a base defense to grab it with gravitation beam.
In v1.0, it moves at 1.5 movement speed, and requires creep to move at is normal 3 movement speed. Keep killing creep and watching for its movement shadow in the ground.

I think entagle was removed from the game by blizzard and isnt available in the editor anymore. But dont worry, gravitation beam works just the same, and its got long range.
please please please bring back the entangle on the supportve tower. i want me a colo on a leash
the queenfester is a bitch but it can die. i too thought it was the ultimate hero. it just happens to heal really fast. its a pain in the ass even with your rines at 200hp. few people know how to micro with it. i think its bounty should be higher cause it does take a while to trap and kill it.
there's a big glitch with the infestor queen dub model and you cant kill it even with 2 infestor's the one's you only get 3 of 2 out at the same time the dam thing just sit's that and kill's eveything v1 so idk if you + this but if you do get this fixed it's the most updated on ive seen
