K3llym0's Art Files
I do not have much to offer the sc2 modding community, but I shall upload what I can. other people make more efficent resources but I can only make them the way I make them because I lack skills. and tools. but mostly skills.
The method I favour currently, is exporting models/textures directly out of sc2, converting models into XML format, altering texture paths in note pad, then re-converting them back into M3 format, while at the same time using adobe photoshop CS3 to create new .dds files.
Some of my models are actually other peoples models slightly re-skinned, some of these obviously breach artist permissions so don't bother asking for any of those til I do get said permission from said artists. the reason I did this was because If I was to use some resource (even from this site) I needed the said resource to be 100% perfect for me and my needs, this was my feeling for warcraft3 and age of mythology as well, so some changes are barely noticeable while other changes are so drastic texture wise you barely recognize them as other peoples works. slowly but surely I will contact every said artist about this matter. only artists who give me the ok will see their altered projects uploaded at all.
I release these assets because I have been requested to do so by sufficent numbers of people and thus, I hope to in return, maybe, recive some data or triggering help, or maybe even some model editing help, within star craft 2. for I lack so much knowledge. and always appreicate more.
I am currently working on a few maps for starcraft 2, the primary 3 are ''Civilization Collapse Simulator'', ''Mur'loc Island Survival 2'', and a few other things now, helping others!
Most of My Assets are Civilian re-textures so If you are interested in civilian models then this is perhaps the place for you.
