The Intersection
You are an elite Hydralisk. Ordered by the Queen to search for a new breeding zone. After several days you have come across to this vast green land. Unfortunately, it is one of the most busy intersection point of Terran between their trading cities... Your job as an elite hydralisk is to kill all terran that come across and cut off their communication!

This is by far my favorite custom map I've played. Excellent job!

Its data editor stuff. You can edit occlusion under models in the data editor. For characters, you want them to have occlusion: show. For doodads you want it to hide, go to the doodad model, and change the occlusion to hide. Hope that helps [:
Hey Jeff, i've been trying to learn a thing or two from your map, havent been stealing code or anything...just seeing how you did things. (= I saw in one of your updates that you added Occlusion, but i couldn't find where you did it. Is it a trigger, or is it a camera setting in the data editor?

I will look into it, i think i will add some counter measures so that it won't get stuck. The stuck should be a rare case but a serious one. Thanks for the feedback, and i am happy that you enjoy it and give it a 2nd try [:

So i just played your map again on my desktop, as i had been playing on my laptop with lower settings. I didn't tweak any of the settings this time, and i was really enjoying it on the high graphic settings and I noticed that you did in fact have radial effects that i couldnt see before because of the low settings. But for some reason this time when i played it, after destroying the towers when it asked me if I wanted to skip the cinematic on the boss, I said no...and it got stuck on the beginning of the cinematic with the hydralisk just standing there. Not sure why it didnt do this on my laptop. Anyway, still a great map...hope you can fix that bug. (=
Great map! I especially enjoyed the second part of the game, where you have to destroy the thor.
I'm very impressed Jeff, enough so that I registered just to leave a comment. I have to agree that the map is a bit dark, if there is a way to make it a little less dark that would be good. I honestly just went into your triggers and disabled the night effect. You have made a really cool looking level, and I see the effect you were trying to achieve but it makes it difficult to enjoy the gameplay when you cant see everything. Maybe you can put some sort of radial light that follows the character. Besides the lighting, the gameplay is very fun...the spawning and threat levels are awesome, you reallly get a sense of rising tension. I will say that its a bit on the difficult side, but it does feel really balanced maybe give a little more energy though, the mobs can be overwelming with just a melee attack. I haven't beat it yet and I admit I tweeked the ranged attack to be unlimited and its still pretty tough. I also like the trader "health packs". I was suprised when I got to the second phase, i really wasnt expecting more, and you went and made a really cool battle...that part is really hard!!! I look forward to beating your map and seeing more maps like this from you.

Thanks, glad you enjoy it! I base my control on madballs in babo game. I may or may not change to WoW style camera in the future. Still trying out stuff to make things smooth.

Wow. Good job on this great project! I'll test this map out this weekend (no time during the week for gaming/modding unfortunately).
I am applauding you work sir. This was a very well done map. The only thing that took a little bit for me to get used to was the way the camera moved/aimed.
