Ignos Campaign
This is the newest version of the Ignos Campaign. The zip contains 8 map-files. 7 missions and 1 mission launcher.
Installation
Copy the "Ignos Campaign" folder into the Map folder in the Starcraft 2 folder
Open up the IgnosLauncher.SC2Map file and press "test map" button.
The mission launcher will then start.
The map files must be in the right folder for the mission launcher to work. Similar to this:
C:/StarCraft II/Maps/Ignos Campaign/IgnosLauncher.SC2Map
If the location is off the mission launcher will not function.
All feedback is appreciated.

Just a bug-fix this time:)
Someone in mapsters discord said that mission 1 was an rpg map so I just had to play that.
First played on normal, then after a bit switched to hard, so here's recording of my initial exposure to the map. Hope it helps.
17 minutes of normal:
42 minutes of hard:
I'm just blown away by all the effort you've put into it. That terrain and scene/location variety is the stuff that the dreams are made of :D
Wish had some zerg to kill before getting sol upgrades. it's like, I haven't used hero at all, but I'm already asked about upgrading some of her aspects.
I felt that while having 9 solarite was cool in a gamey maxing out sense, I was a bit sad I didn't need to think about choosing and picking upgrades anymore.
Tho I'm sure I would have stuck to the same ability based upgrades since buffs are incredibly useful.
In reply to duckytheducc:
That was very cool to watch. Thank you for recording and uploading! :D
Thank you so much for the compliments on the terrain. I have somewhat combined terrain elements from the rest of the campaign into mission 1 so that people would get a good first impression.
Yeah it might feel a bit clunky having to read about upgrades without combat experience. My hope would be that getting to rechoose talents would make it easy/interesting to test different builds in the first area where Zergs are just hanging around.
But it was very fun watching you find the 3 hidden solidarities so easily. I kinda thought that most people would miss that secret area. Maybe the hints are a bit obvious.
I have thought that perhaps Ability 3 with permanent psionic endurance and in combat heals is a bit too powerful in one upgrade. Although most bottom upgrades are quite powerful, that one might a bit too obvious a choice in the beginning. I'll ponder on that a bit.
Thanks for your feedback, I very much appreciate it.
thanks for the update :3 keep working on it, ty

Sure thing :)
How many missions do you want to make so that this project will be finished? :D
In reply to Kisscsaba1822:
Any work I do is very sporadic, it can take months between each time I open up the editor, but currently, I think 9 missions in total:)

Thank you for the reply! ^^

uh... do u plan on continuing BioTech company campaign ? kinda feel like a shame that the story cuts off suddenly(although i know u are making it not mainly for story but for unique gameplay, i high appreciate that but still )
In reply to inksansdemon:
I've been thinking about making some links between Ignos and Biotech. Maybe someday I'll do a few more bio-tech missions, wrapping something up :)
when are the new missons coming for ignos?
In reply to canaksucan:
It might take a while:(
About Ignos07NE, i tested it and right now it can be considered at least a beta version as most of the things work pretty well in my opinion.
i played it at normal difficulty and after multiple attempts i managed to win. i recommend after beating the first terran base to delay or attack with fewer enemy waves to ease the situation at least for some time.
Besides that i want to say the concept of the map is fun and interesting and challenging enough to be the ending mission or in this case penultimate mission. its pretty good.
Whichever are the last two mission that need to be posted to complete the campaign i hope they will rise to the quality of the mission Ignos07NE.
Good luck
In reply to raducu273:
Glad you liked it. I'll change it to beta.
A delay in the attack might be the best solution. I kinda like that hard pressure, but then again, normal should be a more manageable difficulty.
I hope you will like them when they eventually are finished. I very much appreciate your criticism, it makes it much easier to tune in on what to work with and to find new solutions. Thank you:)
I played also Ignos05NE(original Ignos04) AND Ignos06NE(original Ignos05). the new edition in 05 has 2 solarite upgrades but the mission was pretty easy and fun even without them as for the 06ne also its good and fun mission, but i experienced heaavy lag when reaching north portion of map with all that ice environment.
What i like about your maps is the detailed terrain and models like destroyed protoss bases or units.
I want to see the end of your campaign, also want to see how the conflict started(mission 1ne).
I played today the 4 original missions and after, i tried the new Ignos03NE.
While the standard missions were fun and easy, the new version dissapointed me. after 3tries with a lot of loads&saves i decided to not play that specific map anymore. i played it at normal but was too difficult.
Other things that seemed changed pointless are: the new interface of level of difficulty(uglier in my opninion), the solaris which serves as a new resource but i would had been happy with just the minerals and gas resource, a lot of upgrades you introduced with solaris price is not worth the effort to research it, and the fact that the caves activate or become stronger based on a timer is stressfull. usually i am interested in the story and a fun(relaxed)gameplay.
The good thing i saw you added was the optional objectives
As always my feedback is constructive and i want to tell that with the original missions you were on the right track. Maybe in future you can focus more on making new maps or campaigns and not trying so much to perfect the ones you have.
In reply to raducu273:
Yeah I should perhaps tone down the difficulty on normal on that mission, I probably went overboard with trying to make a challenge. Perhaps get rid of the timer element on normal and keeping it on hard difficulty.
The Solarite upgrades are quite essential on this mission, and if you didn't use them I think that would make it much harder. But I see the point of this being too hard.
I actually had put making missions on hold for, well, years. Now with covid and a lot of free time, I have taken it a bit up again. I'll have your criticism in mind. Thanks for feedback:)
I did a launcher for your campaign, by the way. But it is focused on 4 missions, since before there were only four. You will do a lanucher? As an option, I can give my own, you will remake it.
In reply to vlad302002:
I would be very interested to see it =)
