Prime Resurgence v2.2
Prime Resurgence
This is a 5-mission Terran campaign based on the final events in Brood War. The campaign begins with Kerrigan's assault on the UED capitol on Korhal. As captain of the UED forces, your objectives are to contain the situation and regain the initiative in the Brood War. The campaign will culminate in a final showdown with both the Swarm and the Dominion.
You will take command of exciting new units, fight in unpredictable conditions, and still have time to gaze around at the terrain work once in a while. While the campaign itself isn't awfully difficult, your micro and your macro will be tested.
Requires HotS to play. Compatible with StarCraft II patch 3.0. Please post any bugs in the comments section below.
Instructions
- Download the .ZIP file and extract the contents to your StarCraft II maps folder:
(SC2 installation folder)\Maps\ - The subfolders will be created automatically. Don't move them out of the pre-placed subfolder or the mission launcher won't work, and the maps won't be linked.
- Download the Left2Die.mod file (included in the files page) and place it in the following directory within your SC2 folder:
(SC2 installation folder)\Mods\ This is because mission 2 uses some hero skins etc from the mod. - Run the Mission Select map. You can do this by right-clicking the file, and selecting "Open With..." then choose StarCraft II\Support\SC2Switcher.exe
Alternatively, you can open the Mission Select map with the SC2 Map Editor, then pressing "Test Document". Make sure you close the editor while you run the game, because these maps can be quire resource intensive. - Enjoy!
If the AI does not send attack waves when you run the map through map editor test (AI still sends attack when you run it from SC2Switcher.EXE), you need to go into your StarCraft II Editor, File > Preferences > Test Document > Game Difficulty > it should appear blank. Change this to any difficulty (has no effect on gameplay) to fix the issue.
This bug will affect multiple maps (not just mine)... thanks Blizzard!

What's Next?
A Protoss campaign is on the way, focusing on Zeratul's battle against Ulrezaj. A Zerg campaign told from Duran's perspective is also in planning stage.
Very enjoyable as a quick campaign, but a little too easy. Variable difficulty would be really nice! Very nice job on this.
are the other campaigns still in the works?
its 11th of Sept 2018. since the last update (some weeks ago) in any of the mission the enemy does not attack my base any more!! That does mean, it attacks/defends its own bases BUT they are not attacking MY own base at all! Tried different computers win 10 / win7 same Problem. Any help?
Note: the following tip did NOT work at all for me !
Solution: Go into your StarCraft II Editor, File > Preferences > Test Document > Game Difficulty > it should appear blank. Change this to any difficulty (has no effect on gameplay) to fix the issue.
this did help I also started the game with switch, same result: enemies dont attack!

(Maybe just typing "debuginfo" helped ???)

For anyone experiencing the following issue, the workaround is as follows:
Error: AI does not send attack waves when you run the map through map editor test (AI still sends attack when you run it from SC2Switcher.EXE).
Solution: Go into your StarCraft II Editor, File > Preferences > Test Document > Game Difficulty > it should appear blank. Change this to any difficulty (has no effect on gameplay) to fix the issue.

I extracted and open them all but they still show only a blank space on the editor. I also use the editor to open them. I have all three expansion and I'm currently using LOTV.

Can you please provide some more details?
What map file did you open? Was it in game or in the editor?
Were the files extracted as per the instructions above?
Are you running Heart of the Swarm and/or Legacy of the Void? As the maps require Heart of the Swarm at least to play.

I downloaded the Prime_Resurgence_v2.2.zip.

Hi there, which file is giving you an empty map? I hope you don't mean the mod file.
I downloaded the maps yesterday, but it just gave me an empty map?

Hey there! Thanks for the feedback.
I'll try to figure out what that error is for (I don't see the error when I launch) and put in a fix.
As for the mission being "really hard", you shouldn't be making pure Marines/Medics! You have access to a lot more high-tech units and you should use them.
Try combining your bio with Siege Tanks, Medivacs, and other support units, the enemy should just melt. If you use pure bio, put Marauders in the front to tank the Baneling hits and don't clump your Marines. Medics are terrible units against Ultras and Banelings, so try using Medivacs instead.
If this still does't work for you, make a bunch of Battlecruisers.
As far as lighting goes, can you clarify what graphic setting you're using? If you have a screenshot that would be great.
Hey. I am playing your campaign first time. I am some sort of angry veteran and mapmaker in campaign scene of SC2 so I may be a little harsh on my feedback.
Mod / Launcher:
- ErrorHorror! I got message " [3/5/2016 5:25:26 PM] Warning: XML: GameData\LightData.xml(14,13) : Core: invalid object type identification Source: Maps/Revolution/Episode I - Terran/Mission Select.SC2Map Entry: Haven Scope " When I opened launcher map.
- Great launcher file! Only thing that needs little improvement is camera for mission2 (Haven trees) it looks a bit undetailed.
Mission1:
- Too bright lighting! Im was looking for "turn off the lights" switch immediately.
- I like to start missions with small amount of units but now I had two races and two bases with all structures and upgrades! It was overwhelming for me. I started to build lot of Marines + Medics.
- Objective "Defend Capitol" was confusing for me. Is that "Capitol" orange player or someone else?
- It was fun to watch how orange attacks against computer and cheer for them, "Go orange, go!"
- For first 8 minutes it was nice and quiet but then massive attacks begin! Always better to send smaller attack waves often than large waves rarely. Small waves work as "wake up" for player. In my own campaign I send attack waves every 3 minutes.
- Mission was really hard! I may had wrong units but when I attacked with around 60 Marines + 5 Medics I thought it will kill good amount of Zerg but then, Infestor, 3 Ultralisks and couple of Banelings rolled to my army and ate everyone in seconds :( That was really depressing moment and I quite soon quited when I realized that enemy is attacking with strong attack wave and I had only few units left. I recommend to give player difficulty option in launcher.

Thanks man, downloading the new file now. I'm going to play it again once more and report anything weird.
@packiecraft: Go
OK, uploaded a fixed version... Just waiting for a mod approval now as with all .ZIP files.
Once again I appreciate the report.
