Prime Resurgence v2.2
Prime Resurgence
This is a 5-mission Terran campaign based on the final events in Brood War. The campaign begins with Kerrigan's assault on the UED capitol on Korhal. As captain of the UED forces, your objectives are to contain the situation and regain the initiative in the Brood War. The campaign will culminate in a final showdown with both the Swarm and the Dominion.
You will take command of exciting new units, fight in unpredictable conditions, and still have time to gaze around at the terrain work once in a while. While the campaign itself isn't awfully difficult, your micro and your macro will be tested.
Requires HotS to play. Compatible with StarCraft II patch 3.0. Please post any bugs in the comments section below.
Instructions
- Download the .ZIP file and extract the contents to your StarCraft II maps folder:
(SC2 installation folder)\Maps\ - The subfolders will be created automatically. Don't move them out of the pre-placed subfolder or the mission launcher won't work, and the maps won't be linked.
- Download the Left2Die.mod file (included in the files page) and place it in the following directory within your SC2 folder:
(SC2 installation folder)\Mods\ This is because mission 2 uses some hero skins etc from the mod. - Run the Mission Select map. You can do this by right-clicking the file, and selecting "Open With..." then choose StarCraft II\Support\SC2Switcher.exe
Alternatively, you can open the Mission Select map with the SC2 Map Editor, then pressing "Test Document". Make sure you close the editor while you run the game, because these maps can be quire resource intensive. - Enjoy!
If the AI does not send attack waves when you run the map through map editor test (AI still sends attack when you run it from SC2Switcher.EXE), you need to go into your StarCraft II Editor, File > Preferences > Test Document > Game Difficulty > it should appear blank. Change this to any difficulty (has no effect on gameplay) to fix the issue.
This bug will affect multiple maps (not just mine)... thanks Blizzard!

A Protoss campaign is on the way, focusing on Zeratul's battle against Ulrezaj. A Zerg campaign told from Duran's perspective is also in planning stage.

Thanks for the report. The 50k resources on minerals and gas is intended, I want to give the players unlimited resources as the game goes on so that they are able to play around with all the different factions and their unique units.
I have identified a fix to the attack wave bug and will be uploading it over the weekend.
EDIT: Elapsed Time triggers do not work if you run the map directly for some reason. Still works when you use Test Document from Editor. Weird. I'll be working on a fix.
Hey RedRevolution! I just played your campaign and I found something strange. I don't know if it's mistaken or not, but the AI in all missions doesn't attack just rebuild his buildings and units, and the minerals and gas have 50000 resources. I'm going to leave a detailed information if its helpful:
Mission 1: ====== Ai doesn't attack, the units that actually attack your base are the ones spawned by zerg drops
Mission 2: ====== The attacks are from units spawned from the extremes of the maps (left extreme i think), bases doesn't train units(I don't know if the bases are actually planned to train units and attack)
Mission 3: ======AI doesn't attack at all, just defend and rebuild bases (by defense I mean that is re-training units losses around map and bases)
Mission 4: ====== Same, AI doesn't attack except from random cloaked banshees.
Mission 5: ====== AI doesn't attack except from ghost droping nukes at main player base.
I hope this post is helpful for you, I played this campaign back in 2015 and it was very difficult, now with the broken AI (I suppose) it's weird to play. Nice campaign btw, the different squads and their unique units and abilities are amazing, very original, same with terrain, love it.

Works wonderfully. My god, what a taxing campaign it is! Although doable :D
Thanks, downloading now. Will report tomorrow!

The bugs have been fixed, please check out the download section. Cheers.
@RedRevolution,
will check it out for sure. Thanks!

Thanks for the report. Appears that Blizzard's patch 3.0 broke a lot of things in the editor.
Fortunately I've already found a fix to this issue and various other bugs so I'll be working on a fix and uploading an update on the weekend.
Hi RedRevolution!
First of all, thanks for the mod! Enjoying it greatly. ALTHOUGH, the 3.0 update maybe messed with it? The mouse cursor clicks ingame like 1 inch away from the clicked point. In mission 2 wasn't a big problem, but now that I'm playing the base-oriented third mission it's really impossible to play properly with such problem. Do you know how to get rid of it?
Thanks in advance,

I assume you mean you'll be able to win without much trouble.
In any case I do agree, the difficulty is easy in the first couple of missions and ramps up as you go deeper into the campaign.
I looked up some more cheat codes and found the ones that work so I'll have troubles playing now, thanks.
@Yeowolf01: Go
Hi Yeowolf01, currently there are no plans to put in a difficulty setting. Is there anything specific that you're finding difficult?
Most of the feedback that I've gotten is that the campaign is relatively too easy. I actually designed this campaign with casual players in mind. Also all of the official Blizzard cheat codes should work just as they would on any other map.
Great campaign and premise. Would it be too much to ask for a difficulty setting? I understand this campaign is for advanced players but it's completely overpowering for novice players like me. I admit I'm one of those casual players. The cheat code doesn't work either.

Thanks Jayborino, I have never encountered the problem myself since I always open the Editor first, but it appears that others have encountered the same issue so thanks for your helpful comment.

This is a bug with the editor itself I believe and commonly happens with many maps when you try to double click a map file which opens the editor. The easy workaround is to open the editor first, then try to open the maps you want via the Open button within the editor and they will properly load up.
@Krishna2002: Go
Hi Krishna, I tested it and it works fine for me.
Are you using Heart of the Swarm? If your SC2 is still on Wings of Liberty that could be the reason.
if i try to open the map in the edition, I just get some green terrain. If start it and the maps says "no more Units". what have I done wrong ???? I mean I just get green blank terrain, no maps to play, neither with the statzer nor when I start the maps directly.
Haha yeah, it's sort of my thing to showcase these custom campaigns. I'll make sure to check out v2.0, I'm really curious about the new custom units and the screenshots look great!

Wow, I never realized people actually put this on YouTube! I have to admit, watching someone else play it is pretty exciting. I laughed pretty hard when you were doing the stealth mission in Liberty, your commentary was hilariously dramatic.
I would encourage you to play through it again since there are a lot of changes. For instance, missions 1, 2, and 3 got complete makeovers. In mission 5, the airfleet units received significant revamps.
There are also brand new units like the Venom stealth tank, and the Thunderhead frigate.

Hey RedRevolution, I played through your campaign some time ago and put in on YouTube! Have you seen it and did that affect any of the changes you've made for v2.0? I really enjoyed the original version, and now I may replay it to see the changes.
I cant wait for this campaign. Good luck and keep us update!
