I am sorry for this Leokaten. It is caused by my own short sightedness and I am going to be hosting the new and improved 1.4 today which should eliminate all the present issues.
i'm not sure if it's the map or i'm just newb at this....when i load it using the patcher that i located on the forums here....the map plays very choppy about every 3-5 secs it will slow down...almost as if a lag spike...input is still recieved....just it doesnt play as smoothly as the normal game....how do i correct this....but in regards to the map....LOVE IT!
OK much appreciated man, thanks! :).. let me know what you think when i fix that :)
that is what makes the workers be able to harvest on one stone, with more than one worker at a time - so you have 1 stone of minerals, and unlimited workes able to mine on it.
you find that option at the data editor, just search for the worker (scv, drone, probe - u have to edit them all 3) go to his abilities - the gather ability, and under "Flag Array" you can set "bypass resource queue" or something like that.
look at my tutorial here.. http://forums.sc2mapster.com/development/tutorials/1225-data-mineral-editing-fast-map-style/?unread
What do you mean ""bypass mineral queue" on workers." i cant find that anywhere?
Thank you PatchOne for the advice. I made this map mostly for the strategic spots, and I had always enjoyed the "fastest" maps from SC1, which is why I made the minerals look how they do.
I will make the changes and update the map for a real "fastest" map.
Please check out the next 1.3 version of this which i will post in a couple hours :)
map layout looks good, its mirrored and surely has good stuff for strategic purpose.
probably its a lil bit overpacked with doodad stuff...
wasnt able to test-play it yet so i dont know about playability.
mineral stuff is very bad i think. this is no fasstest at all, sorry man.
it may be meant to be played as an normal melee map but with some faster money income, but then its not a fasstest map.
players might get confused due to that name, so either you make a real fasstest out of it, or rename it.
a tip if youre going to make a real fasstest - dont think in broodwar dimensions! do not stack minerals, that just causes lots of lag.
just use one single mineral spot and set the option "bypass mineral queue" on workers.
