What is Discord?
Discord is a custom fan made campaign. When it's done it will have 30 missions and cover 3 interwoven stories. For now I only have the first few missions completed and ready for testing. You can download them here by going to the files tab and selecting the files for download. The files need to be placed in your Starcraft II directory to work properly. I would suggest that you start with the launcher map when you play.
Who am I?
I am Baelethal, a long time lurker on sc2mapster. I have visited this site many times since wings of liberty came out, but only now I have decided to finally participate in the community. This is my first project for Starcraft II and my first activity on sc2mapster. I hope to remain active for some time to come and to create many projects to add to sc2mapster. Please enjoy what Discord and I have to offer.

thats actually quite interesting. Maybe u can post that in the forum and it will give mapmakers some new insights of how to add to the story
honestly, I'm a sucker for terran campaigns, zerg and protoss campaigns seem really forced with their charathers and motives. like zergs are almost always about a dictator like ruler, evolution and destruction. while protoss are usually the high and mighty, pure, do no wrong or the exact polar opposite, basically heavily skewed in one direction.
whereas terrans can be anything from the goody heroes, to the anti heroes, to average folks to anything, because terrans are basically humans, and humans are experienced in human emotions thanks to the work of shakespear and such. i can tell that the terran campaign will be much more story intense just by the 4th mission, I'm not saying the other campaigns won't be interesting, but the charters will mostly be a 2 sided mesh of what we think of the protoss and zerg. anyways its a theory and ill be quoting this for once the campaign is finished.
anyways some thoughts on the 4th mission. the timers for the generators seem really skewed, like someone would probably kill the first just in the nick of time and then finish the others in about 2 minutes each (this is hard diff btw) so what i would suggest is increasing the time of the first one by a couple minutes, and decrease the time for the others and add more defences for the other areas. also i looked in the editor (and spoliers) there will probably be a flying siege unit called the griffin and maybe war hounds because of their changed attack and loss of haywire missiles

Thanks for the feedback. I'll think about giving the heroes shields in the future. My only reason for not doing it in the first place is that Isaac has an ability which gives him a temporary plasma shield and giving him base shields would mess with the ability. As for the bugs I just uploaded a new version that should be free of those bugs. I'll see about working on Mission 5, I don't think I'll be able to get it out soon but it will be coming sometime in the future.

Just you wait, the second and third campaigns will have much cooler protagonists. As it should be seeing as they will be zerg and protoss.
I played the first four missions.
I really like the high-tech feel of the custom terran race and the second and third maps on Brutal were like Satan made them. I really enjoyed the whole thing. I also have a random fetish for terran with plasma shields. :D However, it feels weird that everyone but your heroes are shielded. Then again, they regenerate.

I'm glad you liked the difficulty of the map. The error on the launcher I know about and I'll have to fix by removing something from the mod. It's all because blizzard decided to permanently change the text scrawl to look protoss and I kinda needed the terran look. As for the marine, I had forgotten to test that but it's an easy fix. I'll upload a new version with those fixes. Also I'm sure you'll love the zerg campaign. Both the zerg and protoss campaigns will be way cooler than the terran one which so far is a bit lame honestly.

The new mission is fairly nice and difficult. even on normal lol, i almost ran out of time twice only a few seconds on my timer before i destroyed 2 of the generators on normal. You have to move a lot faster then some may be comfortable with which does keep on your toes. But if any try to pay attention the mission is pretty much telling you that you need to use the new unit especially if you grab some of it's upgrades. I only had 5 of them and a lot of meat shields pretty much lol.
There was an error message on the launcher when i first loaded it up, but when going back to it from mission there wasn't so idk what that could of been there.
The trigger when you enter the base and a soldier yells 'Defend the Base!' or something like that. i think you need to edit that trigger sense he'll yell it for every single unit you send into the base. so it can clog up the screen, and after you already cleared the first section can just get annoying when your reinforcing. I would change it to only do it once or twice in like different areas.
Otherwise I actually didn't see anything bad about the map. no real bugs or anything which is very good. In terms of difficulty just from the timer alone it's difficult sense you have pretty much no time to explore any portion of the map besides rushing for the objective and the revealed expansion. unless you start exploring at the start you pretty much have to beeline it the moment you got defense for your base. (for me it was 2 bunkers on either side and a few missile turrets scattered around)

The freeze could of been just my side, though it did scare me when I was about to win lol. could of been it not liking the act a lot of stuff was just about to happen. I'll probably get the chance to play the new mission here soon, probably do it right now even though I had planned to play my ps4 today. I'll post feedback as soon as i finish it.
Take your time if needed, no need to rush anything about this campaign. I personally would love more especially the zerg section lol, but rushing it could ruin some of it so take all the time you need man.

Hey thanks for the feedback. I plan on continuing the campaign and hopefully seeing it to the end but the maps may not come out very quickly. About the freezing, I don't think I experienced that, but I'll look into any reason why it might be happening. I hope you like the newest mission I just came out with. I feel like mission 4 is better than any of my previous missions.
I have just finished the three missions of your campaign so far, took a while sense got busy with other things. I think this has a lot of potential and I liked what I had played. The missions are fairly challenging especially without medics, so you have to pay attention to your hero(s) a lot more though could become a tiny bit more challenging sense on normal you didn't run into to much trouble. Though it felt like overall difficulty did increases on the third mission because you have to move out quicker than the previous mission, if you want to be successful, and a lot of turrets lol. I very much want to see this campaign through. Very interested in future installments thanks to the amazing custom things in this campaign. I only ran into really one problem and it may of just been my computer, where the game froze around the last 30 seconds or so in mission 3, on me for a few seconds before it went back to normal.
From the screenshot, that's a very cool lookin difficulty selection menu.
I made the screenshot sizes smaller. Let me know if they are still too big.

That's probably the best I can come up with right now.
Can you provide a quick couple of sentences of what the campaign is about? I put Discord up on the CCI, but I want to include some more info on it.
I had the same issue with the image size. Only way to solve it was to resize them manualy and reupload.
@Hockleberry: Go Sure, adding this to the Custom Campaign initiative is a good idea.
@deltronLive: Go I was unsure about the difficulty. I'll probably tone it down. I only had myself to test it before I put it up here. Also thanks about the trooper tip and the worker count. I'll see about fixing those. As for your question, I voiced Blake's unit responses myself. I'll probably make a map Feedback thread soon. Overall thanks for the feedback.

I've found that when I first click on a project, the images won't be resized, but then once I click on "Overview" and it essentially takes me to the same place, the images will be resizes appropriatly. It's odd, but seems to happen on all campaign pages I visit.
I just played the first Mission on Hard. The enemy attacks were huge and they rebuilt buildings like crazy which made it tough. I was able to beat it on my first try though. You definitely have to use Blake's abilities. I really liked the custom units! A really good first mission. A few notes:
- Trooper - tips say attacks ground, but they can attack air and ground. - When you first build the command center, the worker count is messed up. It shows a very big number - I think this might do with the different colored scvs. - Trooper and Marine have the same unit portrait. Not a big deal though. - Is Blake's voice custom? Did you make it?
I would recommend making a thread in the Map Feedback section so you can get more exposure.
