Introduction
Unification of Purifiers is a campaign created by me (CybrosX) for Starcraft 2 LoTV. Cybros is under threat. After Endion was cleansed of life, unknown signals have received purifiers on Cybros. Executor Coros has sent a team of Purifiers to explore these mysterious locations that somehow survived the planet’s destruction. You must find out what's happening on Endion before it's too late.

i dont have a maps folder, need help to start playing this awsome custom map
you should have a maps folder in your starcraft 2 game directory, or it may be created when you start a mission using the editor.
you could download the campaign and start a map just double click on the map file then the editor should create a folder called maps.
Or you could create a folder/directory called maps in your starcraft 2 directory. when you have done that you should create folders for every single mod campaign you install.
Example:: if you want to install the Campaign Shadow of the Brood ...
What you need to do .. go to your maps directory create a map/folder called TSotB , when created place all map files and the launcher in that map.
from there start launcher of Shadow of the Brood and it should start and you can choose your mission you want to play...
note: I'm not sure how to install the above mod but if its in a standard format then you just need to create a map/folder/directory named like the mod creator tells you to or by your choosing ( I'm not sure if the folder name is specific or if it can be random) ..
I'll check for this purificators mod.
If it is confusing then make a comment below and I'll be more clearly in a further post.
note: when I use the word map I am myself in error as map is the dutch word for folder/directory, and the word map in English/American is a word that's been used for maps for missions/skirmish or other type of mods.
i like game that cool
I don't know why, but I cannot play missions 3 and 4, units look like balls and all terrain is black, may be you know the solution?
SPOILERS AHEAD
Finished the last two maps. As I feared, the story went pretty much nowhere... :-)
The gameplay was as fine, like the first two maps. I would have appreciated more indicators that new units/abilities/whatever were being unlocked, as they just kind of happened - the auto assimilators in the fourth map, for example, came out of nowhere.
Your terrain and mission design is always good, but it seems as though the story was just there as a way to tie the four maps together with some kind of context. There's no depth, no themes, and overall once I reached the ending I was left kind of wondering what the point of it all was. We're supposed to feel happy to have defeated the doctor (I guess?) but I didn't feel much at all since I knew so little about him. The gore discretion shot and last scream as we hear him apparently get ripped in half is the kind of thing you'd more expect with an antagonist killing a good person, too - it kind of frames Talandar as being kind of freaky! And then it just ends.
Speaking of Talandar, why was he mostly referred to as Fenix?
The dialogue was extremely confusing and vague in map 3. While the opening cutscene was an improvement over the last one (actual information was revealed!) I never understood what exactly my objective was until I got into the map and figured it out myself.
Beyond vague dialogue, sometimes the events are just complete nonsense. In map 3's opening cinematic, this scientist guy just kind of happens to have been captured by you (when? where? how? why?). You're going to interrogate him, which makes sense. Initially he's resistant, but then he suddenly switches around and says he wants to work for the Greater Good. Where did that come from? Who is this guy, anyway? Nothing about his attitude (or its dramatic, instant shift) makes any sense.
Just like in Legacy of the Void, deploying Talandar is awesome. Glad you had that in there.
Basically, in summary: The design and gameplay are great. The story is weak.
Definitely worth a play through, in any case.
A small letter of thanks.
Ive just played the whole campaign, and I have to say: It its very good,i had a blast while playing it although it is hard at some points where you had to defend your base but it can be easily avoided if your good enough at the game.Other then that,it is very fun! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I've only played the first two maps so far but I have work today, so I'll finish this later. The presentation of this is really cool. Being able to play as a full Purifier faction (my favourite LotV faction) is neat as hell. Love seeing the buildings in purifier-like colours.
I am a little confused about the timeline. When does this take place in comparison to Legacy of the Void?
The gameplay is very much in the vein of Blizzard's campaigns. Since I play everything on easy because I suck at this game, I can't comment too much on your specific design choices, but overall I found it pretty entertaining.
Your voice effects are good, and it's always nice to hear voice acting in a campaign, but I found the delivery to be very monotone and lacking in emphasis. Enunciation was good though - very protoss.
The story/dialogue is not very strong. For example, the cutscene at the start of Mission 2 was incredibly cool looking and well put together... but they didn't really say anything overly useful. It reminded me of Legacy of the Void that way, where the dialogue was evidently more about being cool than progressing the story. Then when the mission started, suddenly they're talking about how the Terran are controlling the Zerg! Where did that come from? Did I miss something? How did they figure that out?
What I would like to see from a campaign about the Purifiers is a story that thematically addresses their oppression by the Protoss for being artificial intelligence, and perhaps a closer look at the distinction between artificial and biological life. Of course, there are other thematic routes that can be taken, that's just the themes that first come to mind regarding the Purifiers. However, I have seen none of these story themes so far - in fact, I haven't seen many themes in general. Hopefully, this will change in the next two maps.
Overall, the experience is definitely entertaining, and that's one of the core things you want out of a video game.
Hey.
I've tried the first couple of missions, and I've noticed that the game lags in the cutscene at the beginning of mission 2, when the camera points to the playable area. This can be easily fixed by reducing the far clip of the cameras.
Nice job btw.
Looks interesting, I'll try it out.

Thank you for a feedback. I'll consume it for future use. ^^
Mission 4 is a big tech jump over mission 3 while the enemy had almost the same stuffs on 2 missions. I felt very restricted when playing m3 but could freely A-click around on m4. I think Void Rays should be buildable after completing the bonus objective on m3 or make more new units for the enemy on m4. Also there was no point on attacking into the Zerg areas on both missions since the attack waves were spawn making a large part of the maps unsued. Making some nore bonus objectives on those areas would be cool.
Some bugs:
Shield batteries didn't autoheal the cannons, and they were not affected by shield upgrades.
I couldn't acess air armor upgrades 2 & 3.
Some thing on the east brige keep blocking my big units on mission 4.
Overall this is a very neat campaign with nice voice actings. I like all the custom stuffs and the way you make attack waves quite unpredictable (especially on m3). Sad that there're only 4 missions in this. I'm looking forward for more cool things from you.

I made them mechanical. It makes the game more balanced i think when there is the repairing beam for mechanical units.
@Makimagister: Go
The Adepts are actually supposed to be biological. In the game's lore, they are Templar that have been outfitted with Purifier ordnance.
Great job. I really love Fenix voice but. Should you fix the Adept's data from Light-Biological to Light-Mechanical because they're in purifier faction form?
Here is the review for mission 02 :
Mission 02 Review
I played all three missions. I can say, this is freaking amazing. I really liked those custom purifier themed units and buildings. Also story is pretty great. Voice acting is awesome! I can't wait to play fourth episode. Well done. I hope you make more campaigns like this.
A thing I found weird is that Fenix looks too small in cutscenes.

Yeah .. sorry about that, I already go ahead and made a forum topic before I read your reply here.
