Alliance and Horde
Alliance and Horde is a RTS game mod that implemented by Starcraft II Editor.
Core Feature: Back to WOW from sky. That mean reflection on the old WOW time in a RTS camera.
1. There are two factions: Alliance and Horde.
2. In the first release version, each faction has 6 heroes and 8 units.
3. First released map is Zul'Grub, which is similar to Lost Temple in Warcraft III.
4. The play styles, features are different from Warcraft III, units are categorized by Tank, Healer and DPS, and player should make the troop balanced.
5. Instead of wood, Magic stone take the place of the second resource. It can only get from creeping, and it is only used to upgrade units. Gold, as the primary resource, is used to train units and build structures.
This game is not just re-copy of Warcraft III, in fact it contains many WOW features in a RTS game: 1. There are Tank, Healer and DPS units , players should keep balance of them just like in WOW raid.
2. Tank, Healer are T1 units, all DPS units are T2 units that need Blacksmith or Spiritlodge to unlock. This architecture differ from Warcraft III and most RTS games.
3. There are 2 resources, gold and Magic Stone. Gold is collected by work just like War3. Magic Stone is inspired by an early design of Warcraft III in 1999, which is not adopted.
