Archive Destroyers by SoulTaker916
Archive Destroyers is a remake of the classic StarCraft 1 game, Nexus Destroyers. Two teams duke it out in a micro-intensive battle, complete with army progression, upgrades, abilities, and stronger units. Think of this project as a melee map without the macro; you are able to select the type of army you want, and have at it!
I have play this game is visually attractive and i makes you wanna keep trying until you win. Very easy to understand. Is all about team work, I personally love the suicide music it has. I say SOULTAKER took a lot of time and effort for making a kick a....s game thumps D. keep making more!
Used to love nexus destroyers in SC1. Will def. check this out.
2) ya i get that alot but makeshift combat has serious balance issues for example. 4 speedlings does not equal 4 charglots. My map uses statistics from blizzard use in rank games with almost no modifications. the formula calls for 16 normal zerglings vs 4 zelots vs 8 marines in a roulette (zerglings kill zealots, zealots kill marines, Marines kill zerglings), however studder step will make marines the best choice.
1) Observers can be gained 4 ways to combat cloaked and buried units.
1. get queens (comes with overseer)
2. get observers (4 pack)
3. raven (seaker missles r strong against light units)
4. Archive can produce observers (assuming they dont get killed) by sacrificing one special civilian. these observers r special they don't count as your normal force (so if you dont get them killed they will stay around as you respawn) they also are not affected by suicide.
Recommend at least 2 vs 2 1 vs 1 is very frustrating for both players with suicide counter suicide counter.
reminds me of make shift combat
i hope you fixed what it failed.....
1. the obs problem
2. lack of balance
im going to try this tmr i hope it good XD
I appreciate the comment so much!
New updates: Ranking system added should need some tune ups
Really fun map, teamwork, knowledge, and skills are all needed to win. Very well balanced.
