As we all know, the GalaxyEditor is pretty damn powerful. With that great power, comes great responsibility... Just kidding, but the power of the Editor makes it pretty complex. That means there are eventually, tools will come out that simplify things, or even allow us to do things not possible in the Editor.
Map Obfuscator by StragusMapster
By far, one of the most sought out programs, because this will help people with protecting their maps. Currently, it only works for obfuscating Galaxy scripts as the obfuscation of Data is much more complex to do. However, those of us that want to protect triggers or scripts, can now do so...
Galaxy Script Editor by SBeier
This is an editor to write galaxy code in. It features syntax highlighting, autocompletion (including definitions made by the user) and error reporting. If you want to use it with some GUI functions you have made, you can copy the script from your map (Data->View script), then write on the function you want to implement, and copy that portion back into the map as a custom script. Beier is also working on a Galaxy++ Language/Editor that will extend the language.
Galaxy Parser by xDSchurke
This is currently just a simple Galaxy Parser, that will validate your syntax. However, this is just a precursor to what Schurke has planned in the future: his own language extender called GalaxyX, as well as a full blown Galaxy Scripting IDE.
Notepad++ Galaxy Package by grim001
Those of you who primarily use NPP, I recommend using grim's package to do so. It includes syntax highlighting and autocomplete on Galaxy and is up to with brand new patch 1.3. He has also included a pretty spiffy dark-looking theme for NPP if you prefer that!
We also just reopened our Twitter account, so follow SC2Mapster on Twitter!
Cheating in SC2 is the use of any method, technique, tool or software outside of the official StarCraft 2 toolkit and game features in order to win more games and climb the ranked ladder faster than other people at your same skill level. Now since SC2 is a real time strategy game and not a shooter or MMORPG, the cheating methods do differ quite a lot from these: This game is about strategy, experience and skill and these cannot ever fully be replaced by any software.

As it is offtopic, the security issue on wc3 broke maps indeed, but it wasn't really hard to fix. The return bug simply got replaced by GetHandleId, thats all. Even the patch 1.3 regarding the sc2layout is a "bigger" issue relatively.
Mmmm, yeah, but that was security issues. I remember that. I doubt Blizzard would've been working on Galaxy since 2003 and still leave security flaws. That was one reason why they removed Pointers.
But hey, even if they do break everything, it doesn't matter if you used just Galaxy or Triggers, it'll still break everything, :P.
It happened back in WarCraft III due to a security issue. It broke pretty much all complex maps that ran on vJass. I think it was version 1.24?
If Blizzard broke any Galaxy Script, they would break every single map that has triggers. GUI Triggers are just converted to Galaxy and then ran by the game.
Mnadeau1992, yeah I worked on the Diablo 3 project. That inventory system was actually worked on by CloudMax (AKA LTGH), though I made some drastic improvements to it.
Thanks for that comment though. :)
I haven't reached editor limits yet, so this is useless to me,
Edit:RedMarine!!!
Are the RM from diablo 3 on hiveworkshop? If so, then I just wanna say that your inventory system rocks.
I doubt I'll be using any of these. I don't trust the developers of these tools to actually hang around long enough to solve any future incompatibility issues that may arise from Blizzard patching the Galaxy script.
The first doesn't need to be continued, because it does what it says: obfuscates Galaxy. The second... Meh.
Whoa, the title confused me for a sec. I thought Blizzard released their tools... but that's Star Tools :(
Sixen should check up on the projects before putting them on the news. The first is discontinued because the author fell off the face of the earth. The second is non-existent because there is no download link to be found. The last two I can't comment on.
