Death Haven by OneTwo
a cooperative defense map against the Zerg. Play as Scout, Medic, Engineer, Soldier, or Sniper and help defend Terran resource holds against waves of Zerg. As you gain kills, you will earn higher ranks which unlock abilities, icons, and increase damage. As well, use money to purchase upgrades and defensive structures.
Rank and kills (per class you have played as) are saved between games. Zerg waves are randomized based on a difficulty quota and the time of the game, promising a different experience every time. Also included are bosses which require teamwork to combat.
Basic Bank Saving Tutorial by OneTwo
While we're talking about OneTwo, i've been meaning to put up a tutorial of his that I found pretty useful. For anyone not experienced in using banks, this will be a good starter point. It really is quite simple to save data into a bank for your players etc... keep in mind what I show here is a good intro but don't depend on it as it's easily hackable.
Meh, I know what you mean. Actually my advice was bad lol. I actually agree it shouldn't be more complex than it is, but I still feel like there is something missing, I can't quite put my finger on it. Like it doesn't feel gritty enough, er that's not really the right word at all. It's hard to explain, especially from me, so I guess it'll just have to make due.
I will play it. Maybe your balance works out really well, that is where most people shoot themselves in the foot.
Lol TM. Play it, you'll enjoy it :D
Buying miners may be an option but for intensity I want it to be critical to defend them.
Day/night might ruin ambience. It's not that dark... and night vision isn't that doable since lighting is global. I may consider other upgrades but it could conflict with spells.
I don't want to congest the game too much; more about building your guy up over time and getting farther and farther :)
I'm not gunna watch the tutorial, but Death Heaven looks nice, but I don't see a lot of above average gameplay. There isn't really anything too unique about it. I assume you're going to add more to it? Such as more upgrade types and what not. Idk, just having a normal sort of attack with abilities that you basically depend on to kill the hoards doesn't butter the bread. Then again, it's probably more fun than the stuff you find at the top of the lists...
Hopefully the next patch fixes that.
Somethings you may want to consider (if you haven't already, or maybe I just didn't see it) would be buying miners, day/night cycle that makes it hard to see at night, but you can buy items or upgrades for better night vision, other types of upgrades such as attack speed, +chance to hit (maybe play around with the weapons a little), different types of weapons, other unique types of zerg we haven't seen yet, ect.
Anywho, those are my 2 cents.
Woot - I'm all for tutorials being posted - Can't ever learn too much about the editor! (It's hard to find the tutorials that were made with the current version sometimes too.)
