I'm not sure why I haven't mentioned this previously, but IronManSC's Melee map, Ohana, became the fourth? user-made map (the first few being Tal'Darim Altar, Cloud Kingdom, and Korhal Compound) to enter the official Blizzard Ladder map pool. That's huge for the community in so many ways, regardless of the fact that it's simply a melee map. If you'd like to participate in melee development, check out our Melee Dev Forums!
Also, Renee updated his GAx3 Editor Enhancement Mod with some new features and bug fixes. I highly recommend checking this out.
Guitar Hero Bound by Bounty
OK, so it's not called Guitar Hero Bound, but that's the best way I'm able to describe Bounty's map concept. The music syncs up with each obstacle and the explosions "move" to the rhythm and beat.

It would be much better if everyime you moved the marine it made those organism sounds from the song.
Will there be, like, uh, solo sections? Is there multiplayer? Did you find a way to optimize sound files so you can have a decent length playlist?
You have my approval! I really like this and think it looks really cool. I like the idea a previous poster said about incorporating in-game hotkeys for dif buildings/units and if you end up going that route, do common hotkey sequences (i.e. "5" "S" "D" "D", "1" "A" "2" "A" "3" "A" "4" "A"). Reminds me off a starcraft Bopit!
I just want to clear something up about this video, it is a basic concept/prototype video.
Hence the marine voice and no polish. I just wanted to show the idea/concept and see what people thought.
Yes I too thought the marine sounds were unnecessary. In the editor you can write a trigger from "Sounds" that will mute or disable the unit's sounds (either the "Voice" or "Combat" might work).
Let me just start off by saying i play protoss.... Only lol...
I like this idea. I was expecting this to be something to train hotkeys. like instead of white fuzzy balls going down and u having to dodge them with a unit... Have music play, such as some of starcrafts songs, replace the white fuzz balls with structures and units.. and make main buildings be number four since number 3 or 4 are common hotkey placements for main buildings..... and the other structures would be connected to their hotkeys... warpgates come down and u press W.. pylons are E... Assimilators would be A... etc. Good idea? lol I dnt need credit for this idea but i do think it could be a great idea thats ideal for practice i mean.. theres micro tournaments and games like micromacro enhances micro skills and how much use u can get out of each type of unit... Tower Control maps made by Flurgenburg, increases ur skill at maintaining/fighting for vision over the map...
Hotkeys are very important for melee players, especially if they want to get past silver league. I have practiced but I resort back to my style of no hotkeys to save myself during intense battles. I could use the experience..
Uh Tal'darim Altar is the first user-made map in the pool, then there is Cloud Kingdom, and Korhal Compound..
Tal'darim Altar LE was originally created by Jonghyun Joo and it's been in the map pool for a while now. Doesn't that count as a user-made map? Regardless, it is awesome to see them finally taking in quality user-made maps and Ohana sure looks great.
Im guessing this wont be on battlenet... unless the map creator is a member of the band :D
Pretty much in love with the fact that this has White Zombie in the game :D
music infomatics? or is this just synced to 1 song and 1 song only?
What i hate form this type of game, is that the only goal is to ''survive until the song end''
That would be better in my opinion if you had to move up to reach a certain point. Like a having a hill, boulders going down, evade the boulders in order to reach the top of the hill. You know what i mean? A goal! The less time it takes, the more point you have, there is rounds with diffrent songs, your scores (number of round made) is saved into a bank.....
A goal... it's what make maps Hot, at least it's that for me.

Would be much better if you removed the sound from the marine altogether :)
I liked the thumpin bass on the camera. Probably make the marine just follow your mouse. Breaks content policy?
