Just FYI everyone, Map Nights are today, 7PM CET for EU and 5PM PST (8PM EST for US. Also worth noting, Patch 1.3.1 was released earlier, just a few bug fixes, nothin' special. Though as far as Custom Maps go, it fixed an issue with the Replay/Observer UI. Lastly, Daxxari posted about some Camera changes that just took place in 1.3.0 that you should all know about...
Quote:You may have noticed that the Free Camera option is no longer available in the Terrain Editor and Previewer as of 1.3.0. The functionality has not been removed; it has simply been combined into the Editor Camera. We noticed that people frequently wanted to swap back and forth between the two control layouts. Since the two layouts did not conflict with each other, we moved all the Free Camera controls into the Editor Camera. This means that all those middle-mouse commands are available while using the Editor Camera.
For those who never used the Free Camera, it was built for more cinematic-style controls. It works well when fine-tuning a small scene or examining objects in the Previewer. There is a known issue in the Previewer where you are unable to disable the camera’s crosshairs, but if it’s ruining a screenshot, you can use the mouse wheel to send it deeper into the scene. For a full list of Free Camera controls, look under the Camera category in the Configure Controls dialog.
Also, here’s another neat little camera trick: in the Previewer’s Animation menu, you can tell the camera to follow a moving actor by enabling “Follow Motion”. When that model moves as a result of “Show Motion”, the camera will follow. You can then rotate the object or camera to view it from all angles.
Debates of the Ancients by Rodrigo
That's right fellas'! DotA has finally made it's way onto SC2, in the most epic form possible. Rodrigo has decided to expand his Debates map into the AoS genre, of course by AoS he means Aeon of Speculation. The objective of the scenario is for each team to destroy the opponents' Ancients, heavily guarded structures at opposing corners of the map. Players use powerful units known as heroes, and are assisted by allied heroes and AI-controlled fighters called "creeps". As in role-playing games, players level up their heroes and use gold to buy equipment during the mission. Once their Ancients have been destroyed, the game cuts straight into an epic Debate of the game that had just gone on.. Some of the topics you can debate about are: the MVP and LVP, who should have actually won the game, whether or not the game is balanced, whether or not kids should be playing, or even how the weather is... in-game, of course.
Hey guys, this is a totally serious map that we just happened to news on April 1st. :D
Meh, thought your new idea for april fools wasn't just mine twisted. :p
What's up with all the hats? 0_o
That kind of dota wouldn't be half bad if it were real. Although most would leave after the fighting ended. I new Sixen was going to pull this on us.
LOL, thats all i got to say!
@ Exaken
Its April fools day
That's a cool trailer. And what is the hat suposed to mean?
I've been working on Debates of the Ancient a lot. I didn't realize it was April 1th. If you really think I'm joking, just check the map's official page:

ROFL @ Debates of the Ancients...
Grenegg, I think it's not "one more this I swears", but "one more day I swear"... He's telling us it's delayed, and the name of the picture kind of confirms it (the day after the day after yesterday = tomorrow).
We haven't heard much about Blizzard's DotA since the other maps from Blizzard were in beta, so if I have to make a guess I'd say this logo we have seen for weeks is linked to the DotA map being released in the days to come... The light green thing in the middle makes me think about the 3 lanes we use to see in DotA maps... The 3 other logos we've seen earlier (which were mistaken for rock/paper/scissors because of Zarakk's map release) must be some kind of logo for each race/category of heroes you can select during the game. That's the only reasonable guess I can have for now, my other theories involve UFOs and a conspiracy from the US government. :D
Lolz, reusing SotIS/Debates footage in an april fools... The cinematic looks really cool though, wish there was a DotA like it :(
also check the name
one more this i swears
Has to be an Aprils fools.
MUHAHAHAHAHA....
wait, what :D
