Huginncord, one of Blizzard's Q&A Forum Reps recently posted about known issues in 1.3.5 pertaining to the Editor, which can be seen as follows:
Quote:Function: Unit Can Attack Unit Type
Problem: In some cases this function can cause the game to become unresponsive for an extended period of time.
Work Around: Copy the “Unit Can Attack Unit Old” function into your map and use that.
1) Bring up the library view with View > Show Libraries
2) Navigate to Built-In > Unit > Weapons > Unit Can Attack Unit Old
3) Copy the function and paste into your main trigger view
4) Select the pasted function and modify the Options item on the right
5) Uncheck the Hidden option
6) This function is now available for use in your map
Function: Modify Player Property
Problem: When setting a numerical value for the Player parameter, the value is always reset to zero.
Work Around: Change the parameter Source to Custom Script, and enter the desired number in the edit box there.
Heavy Iron by Crainy
A planet, torn apart by civil wars, revolts and catastrophes. This once highly populated and rich planet got abandoned by its population and left alone in the universe, now hoovering in space, cold and dead. Shortly after those events, mercenaries used this planet as a hideout between missions. Over time, the planet became highly popular in the circles of criminals and outlaws. Soon, the planet would be the shelter for murderes, criminals, mercenaries and the entire scum of the galaxie. Spaceships would usually seek to avoid this rotten place at all costs.
The planet got left alone by the rest of the galaxy, but then, a spacecraft of the dominion, transporting secret weaponry, got shot down and crashed into the planets surface. All the scum seeking shelter on the planet came out of their holes and ripped the spaceship and its crew apart, everyone trying to get these weapons into their hands. And indeed, they succeeded. Half of the secret weaponry the ship was carrying got into the hands of mercenaries. Now, a war rages, between the survivors of the crashlanding, and the scum on the planet, both utilizing the secret firepower that was transported by the ship.
Guys, stop nitpickin the story. It was written fast and without much thought behind it. I did not intent it to be for the news (and i actually dont know why anyone would put the story on the news that tells you nothing about the actual map).
Enjoy the trailer.
Hey, I don't play to enjoy a good read. I play to have fun. So long as its fun i'm game.
Impressive trailer looks like it was done in the editor?
"This once highly populated and rich planet got abandoned by its population and left alone in the universe, now hoovering in space..."
If it was abandoned then who was hoovering? And why would anyone be cleaning anyway, and... oh.. ;-) I think you mean hovering lol, and the word hovering for something in space doesn't make much sense anyway, you might want to try floating or something else :-)
you misspelled murder and galaxy /facepalm/
War just sounds more epic than battle :P
So the survivors of a ship whose crew was "ripped apart" by the planets inhabitants are somehow raging a war against said denizens? I'm failing to see how there are enough people in either faction to wage war Xp
Sounds more like guerrilla warfare to me lol
