I've recently made a turret with the model of a marine. I would have liked it to turn and shoot, just like the various terran turrets. I did that.
That was quite a bit of work for a single turret, and therefore I'd like to know if it's possible to make a turret that works for all structures? A turret that i can copy and paste into any structure's turret, and it'll have the same behaviour?
How do I create a text message with the number of a specific integer? I can't find it in any functions - nor in 'combine text' or 'combine text multiple'. My integer is modified every 15 seconds, so it can't just be a set number.
I'd like to replicate the feeling of ice - like in the custom map 'Ice escape' from WC3. You need to slide through obstacles, and try avoiding the snow - else you'll die. It basically needs to stop just as soon as it exits the 'ice region'
Do you guys know if there is any way to replicate 'sliding' in Starcraft 2? Like - I enter a certain region, and I can't slow down from a set movement speed, I can only choose my direction?
How do I single out one model from, for example, the 'Xel'naga Turret' doodad? If I want the fully assembled one - one of 4 models, how do I create a model that only holds that one? The model seems to be 4 models in one, so is it not possible at all?
Leaving some boxes blank in the option did the deal. I failed myself as well actually, because at first it didn't work. Then I found that I'd set both the maximum and minimum radius to 3, so they blanked out eachother.
I tried modifying the zergling weapon - 'Zergling claws' - to have a 360 arc for a turret I made, but opposite to ranged weapons, the turret doesn't attack when creeps come close to it. Do you guys know how to make a melee weapon be able to attack in a 360 arc around the attacker? Or should i just make a new ranged weapon with a small radius?
1st problem: Icons seems to dissapear when i morph from one unit to another. Morphing from Vault to archive makes an icon dissapear - it's there on the original archive, this also happens with the preserver prison.
2nd problem: Morphing to archive makes the model smaller. Why is that? Upgrading from archive to preserverprison after having upgraded to archive makes the model even smaller - it's weird. Upgrading straight from the original archive, however, doesn't change the model. The problem must therefore lie at the vault - archive upgrade.
(Erased icon uses - press 'greedisgoodhahalol' to get the money for upgrades...)
I've been having this problem for a long time, and I've been trying to fix even longer - please help me out! Thanks!

...Nuff said. I do understand your situation, though. It's annoying as hell when you feel unnoticed or estimated wrongly. Sometimes, it's good to have a reasonable chat with your teacher about it - that solved my problems... Now it's too late though, I guess.
Hi guys, do you know how to make an ability have an initial charge of, for example, 100 seconds, before the actual charge-ups that will take 10 seconds?
There's the two options 'Time -start' and 'time - use' under cost in abilities - but it seems to me, that the only one that works is the 'time - start'. I'm guessing that this is the two options i need to make this work - the 'time -start' should have 100 seconds, while the 'time - use' should have 10? It just stays at 100 to charge up - even after the initial charge-up.
To sum it up: The ability starts at 0 charges. Then it takes 100 seconds for the first charge. After that, the charge-ups takes 10 seconds.

Why does messages with / in front of them not work? Is there any way to make them?
It just doesn't show up on screen, neither does it work as an event.
