ye ;p what sand says seems true hard to test. if i was using wc3 i would load it up and host local area network game and since me and friends are using hamachi(vpn) we can just host and play together simply. where with sc2 have to upload and isnt there limit to how much you can upload >.< seems so tedious
mmm i wouldnt buy a premade one because they are super expensive. but if you do don't fall for the ZOMG "this gaming desktop is top of the line" its not good to waste all that money on top of line when new shit for pcs keep coming out faster and faster(my opinion) plus gaming desktop is vague term and shouldn't be used in defining a computer its just a way to attract people.
cheapest would be to build your own. but get advice from friends who know how to do it and have them sit there help you on your first run through
lol its hard to go for one choice. in my opinion its best to apply for any job you can get because experience counts >.< eg: im nearly finishing uni in australia and graduate programs are available and it will be hard for me to get because they are limited and even if i do get it. i probs wont be doing something "fun" eg ill probs be doing analysis of stuff or documents and report writing even though im in a IT course and apply for IT area in a company because there are quite a few programmers out there and probably game companies aren't looking for someone that doesn't know alot in making games.
i think its just a case as to apply for all jobs available.
learn as much you can in lots of areas of IT/gaming/OTHER stuff but probs best to learn this design stuff that you would be learning in your own time eg: trial and error learning.
just my thoughts >.<
I just made a totem using pylon as the totem. lasts for 10seconds, every 1 sec it heals everything around it for 1hp. i couldn't work out validator i had included validator of exclude enemy, neutral, ally to the modify unit effect but that didn't work. i didn't do casting animation for spell caster for ability. i didn't do any shiny effects that appear around the area it heals.
i did it within my currently in progress map sooo if you want me to upload for anyone you can just dl my map from the workplace :) anything for the spell just type in healing ward and should give ya the info for making it. though it was a simple one :S
brinks ment to be new like a mix of parkour(i think its called) and fps. if you type in google should come up and your ment to be able to customise weapons or something
league of legends is a dota remake like HoN.
as for free MMO i played fiesta online and FlyFF online.
whilst playing its free and you can do alot of things. but there are some extra content available buy paying money.
Also Maplestory has same aspect. games free but extra stuff costs.
But still all fun none the less.

what i see "level design" meaning is that your given a programming language and your told to make a game with multiple level designs

"i don't support mac" never bought any of their tech. i've used them all before though. and i wouldn't waste money on a ipad seems pointless.

upload the map, or post your ideas and stuff you have done so far in side "http://forums.sc2mapster.com/player-zone/map-feedback/" or when you upload your map put description and ask for feed back on the maps page

you mean they can run around randomly like the probe so they dont have to stand and wait for it to build?
