and just to keep it going i have successfully made a healing totem/ward (http://www.wowwiki.com/Healing_Stream_Totem)
i altered it a bit though so it heals 20 each second.
if you want to look at the map i implemented it into my hero defense i was making.
and in the data editor in abilities tab is the ability that the the hero sentry(guardian sentry) uses to summon the unit with a life spam of 10seconds.
if you want to see all the features in data editor just search for "Healing Ward" and anything with that name is what is used.
just for testing reasons the cd of casting it, or giving it a mana cost to cast. and i placed one on map next to a archon(frost mage) so you can see that its in effect and placed a guardian sentry there so you can use him to summon more healing wards.
i included a model effect so you can see your being healed and a buff on unit to see that its in range of the ward.
i think overall it would probably be useless. maybe if you learn it as a side thing while in spare time is better. though it wont go on your resume really. you could create some nice stuff with your skills and during meetings or on resume or something different you can say you have created "this and that" or like this epic sc2 map thats super popular! but doubt it. :P
I think they are just worried that someone will get a hold onto it and make it better then what they did and reupload it and since it shows the creator the original creator probs wont get credit and will no longer be a big hit in the sc2 bnet2 community. but i think we all know who really created what if you talk about it here.
as for me i know everyone here can do better then me so i just release mine to all incase they wont to adopt it and make it pro or want to look at data/triggers to learn.
cos it really helps to learn when you got a map of someone elses to view and navigate around and find what is used by what.

I've been having random disappearances of files/folders that are on my desktop. first time i noticed it was when i opened my uniwork folder and all except one timetable.jpg that i had that wasnt in a subfolder was left in there.
next time i noticed was when my songs in my song folder went missing.
now i notice again and its a folder i was storing scmaps that i thought were useful sources now gone missing.
ps: i didnt recycle bin them >.< im not that stupid. haha
can't seem to think of what it could be causing this...though i didnt have any av protection earlier i grabbed a av and scanned and couldnt really find anything that was bad. i got spybot search and destroy aswell because i know its good.
anyone else had a similar problem to find fix >.< if no answer ima reformat! just cos i like reformatting :P
...ps: they aren't on com anywhere i searched each time i noticed i was missing something...not sure if all occurences happened same time or happened at 3 differ occasions cos i didnt really bother searching for other missing files/folders at the first/second occurence >.<
would also like to know this even happens if u gain 1 per lvl and u dont use it till 2 lvls later and you use one of the two points it exits the submenu :(
the map feels small or the units move speed at start seem to fast. if you play dota on wc3 walk across it takes forever which is good because it makes it hard to counter a gank. where as in LoL and sotis you seem to fly across heaps fast. i cant remember with hon how fast it was. but also with sotis the feel seems all to dark. hard to see and too much going on your screen. lol was fine it was brighter. in sotis runes were strange were you able to kill a rune following someone and stop them from gaining benefits? cant really remember. but i prefer dota from over all these. also i think theres a problem with the custom game system as you cannot type in names for the map you are hosting eg: pros only, noobs only,3v3,2v2 in game names and such think thats a big disadvantage heading towards all games on sc2
