So I made a custom game variance, added title and description.
After publishing it, everything shows up on Bnet just fine EXCEPT
for the description. I updated the description again and saved my project then published it again, stil the
description doesnt show up on Bnet.....

Creators Memo: Hi guys, I updated this thread and already available for public again. I just released the map as beta as of March 12, 2011. I hope you guys like it and enjoy it a lot. For better understanding, it is like a dota-style, tug, melee and lots of micro. Instead of controlling one unit, you control group of small units with the hero you like. Pretty much intense game and full of action. That’s why this game is for you, it’s for the elite commanders. Come invite your party and play the game of BOTEC.
Anybody knows a good video titler for a video trailer......?
I have Adobe After Effect and wanted to know some good video titler for my upcoming map trailer.
Like the "sc2mapster" logo name trailer on some of the videos here....
I hope you learned your lesson Rod….. As a map maker too…we all know the popularity system is flawed…. I myself made a map that is way down the list now but also had a chance to get to the 3rd spot on first page last December…..
There’s only two reason why a map doesnt get to the first page or doesnt last on the first page if it gets there…..
1.Map is really not the fun…. 2.First time published, pop system suck, players cant find the new published map….(so work on advertising)
I don’t want to be detailed on this one….it’s up to you to find out….........
My general point on this is just be patient…...and keep moving…... Don’t force people to debate if they don’t want to. I know some people play your map…but if you still trying to get your map back to popularity and stil fail…..well that’s the only players that plays your map…. that’s how your map is popular….no matter what..especially if it went on page 1 and had a chance to get tried….
As an advice from me….. Try to ask random players at Bnet to see if what they most like on a map…... One of the answer is “should be fun”.
Don’t expect that if you made cool FPS/TPS out of the SC2 Engine…..people will play it…. Yeah its cool and awesome for people who understand it mostly the map maker….
“Wow you made that out from SC2 engine”? from a map maker
Expect what will be an answer from a common Sc2 players…
“Ew..FPS? piece of crap” – 4 of my friend from Bnet (They dont know Im a map maker) “You made that map? I dont like it….you cant build things? – 2 of my facebook friends (I made an FPS map)
Population of common Sc2 players – 95% Map maker 5%
So make map that a Sc2 players want… not what you can come up from your mind…

PS: Dont argue with your warning letter about the bad words you just post…... The reason they giving you this is entirely your attitude in the forum….. Dont get crazy about the pop system…..and about your map not getting played. That’s why Sixen started a thread about improving the popularity system….........in a peaceful and zero-hatred way. It’s just a matter of waiting and being patient.
Im having problem how to properly team a players.
So this map 4 vs 4 , 8 players......
I had
players 1, 3, 5, 7 as team A alliance
players 2, 4, 6, 8 as team B alliance
all set on triggers....
So how do i work on my game variance on this?
currently my variance looks like this
Team A
player
player
player
player
Team B
player
player
player
player
So the host who is the first one on the lobby gets player 1 and goes to first spot on Team A.
The second player goes in and gets player 2 and goes to the first spot of Team B
The third player goes in and gets player 3 goes to the second spot of Team A
and so on......and its good coz it agrees the alliance set on my trigger
the problem is when in the lobby and move Player 2 from the first spot of Team B to the second spot of Team A so he teams up with player 1,
he still ends up as an enemy of player 1 coz the trigger is making player 2 and player 1 an enemies.....
how do I fixed this?
So I made a behavior buff that changes the unit's weapon and then link it to ability.
It worked but the thing is when I click the button, the button will disappear and could not turn it off anymore.
I want to make it toggle on/off

I made a copy of Loki-Missile Pod ability and put it in the Wraith. By default, this ability only shoot at air units.
I wanted the missiles to shoot at ground target but having hard time.
I already set the damage to ground but the thing is the missile still flies from Wraith (air unit) to the target point on air, not ground point.

I am a trigger guy as far as my first map....but now I'm working with my second map which I wanted to make most of it from the data editor....
which I'm not really expert on it.
I wanted to make an ability that changes a unit's weapon to another one using data editor. This will be triggered via command card button also made
from data editor which I already know how.
Where can I find the list of templates I can use? There was a page of template posted but it was removed. Can I see it from the editor?
Coz I also wanted to show the Command Card Panel and the Unit Information Screen (U know, the one between the minimap and the command card panel).
