Well now its time to bring out your ideas. Im working on hero survival (And I suppose Im just doing stuff randomly without any trace of planning).
Well I already have some spells and now Im working with the gameplay. I have been thinking of somekind of randomization for waves (like overlord drops, nydys worms or so...).
There is good chance my project will end up in failure since I havent planned it too far ahead, but whatever! :(
Welcome. Now its good time to join in mapping. As soon as hots hits all of us will become millonaires together with map marketplace. Then we can throw a mapster party somewhere and laugh together at nexus wars.
Iv always wanted to see new ideas come alive. Like smashcraft and photon cycles (my 2 favourite maps) are quite unique and something I havent seen before.
Somekind of turn based game could be cool to see. Even though old ideas can be fun, its the new ones that get me really excited.
I also got plenty of ideas I want to make and play, but Ill just have to try them out one by one. So I suppose I will be again making things I wana play :D (Though Im still lacking the perfect execution to great ideas)
It does look awesome, but you know what...the controls in first metal slug were absolutely horrible. The was no chance to dodge bullets. The controls were so bad I couldnt play it more than 2mins. Hopefully you have done something about this! (Even though there is little you can do with wasd and bnet delay)
I somewhat like that, but Im doubtful if you should display that many maps. I wouldnt mind Top5 maps and perhaps even lesser for new and noteworthy and such...dunno, but definetly should have scrollbars or something like that so you could see top10 if you want and so on...
having 50 maps might cause a little bit too much player scattering all over the place? This might not be the case, but still....I like clean UIs with not too much action going on...
I would even might to set notworthy and such maps like 1 map and drop down menu to see more. The queue should have quite high priority so like 10-15 maps displayed there is fine.
Probly would have to test things out myself to see what my ideal UI would be like...(hopefully they do something about gamevariants too...
I see no reason why smascraft or photon cycles wouldnt clear the requirement for marketplace. Sure its hard to get players for smash with current system, but both games are pretty freaking awesome.
And I suppose sotis and such would be acceptable too? Even though they are not as good as original dota, but some people seem to enjoy them.
I have to agree with this. Allthough it might be a bit tricky to make efficient physics system and to make it look good...but still was kinda expectiing someking of collapsing walls or flying units
No tutorials...they are boring! (I would only recomend making tutorials about stuff that is super usefull and not too complex)
Latest news could be cool (perhaps both esports and custom map news, seperately)
Gameplay: could be cool if done correctly. I would probly try to go between half humorious and half serious. Not showing realtime gameplay but picking bits from early/mid/late game so it wont get boring
Cinematics...I dunno if I have failed so horribly with my stuff but its not getting too much attention. Still I would really like to see cool cinematics preferably battle based if its not voiced.
Starcraft Anime: This is something I have done, but its not getting too much attention but I find it being cool nonetheless. Basically make scenes/spells from animes like naruto,bleach,dbz (Dunno if its such a cool idea, but I like watching cool spells for some odd reason)
Variety of all the stuff would be best I suppose. Weekly news...Weekly gameplay etc....I wish I could talk english better so I could do this stuff myself. I did actually try to make Protoish voice for my cinematic but I just failed hard :D....
Well I can tell you I do not have custom animations...so you can do all that yourself! :D. You can see all the animations units have trough the previewer.

with this I assume the problem is that you dont have proper conditions to prevent it from giving "power" to players who shouldnt get it". I suppose you could just use some variable like when the trigger runs "If power = 0, set power = triggering player, else do nothing"
I just wish I had spend time in Java instead of editor...but I suppose its kinda cool to be able to do stuff in the editor since you see the results so fast :E

Looks very nice. Perhaps even small x to corner so you can put the achievement away yourself if wanted?
