More important than cool looking custom UI is consistiency. Your current UI practically has none. Every place seems to have a different theme (red/blue at middle, metallic thing on left, pretty blank on right and those dialogs on top right). Everything should try to look same.
Also placement of inventory is very bad. dont leave 50% space to left corner, rather center the invetory to make it look better.
Also mana and health bars look rather small and those statues very big compared to the bars.
I think it needs lots of work. I might even prefer having minimap on top right/left. adding invetory to some button and having just skillbar, hp/mana showing. Its just an idea since it might be hard to get everything (minimap, skills, inventory) look good together....
The camera quality is quite bad (which you probly know). And the backround noice is so loud...If that was ment to be scary, it wasnt. I think it would require more special effects, a bit better acting. Ill give you that the "growl" part was sort of cool, but other than that it weird...

As far as your script goes. Its quite hard to tell if its any good, atleast the video presentation is not. You need to make it look cooler instead of those random text appearing breaking the mood further.
I am dissapointed you are not impressed by my projects. Im not going to do custom UI though since it takes more time than its worht to me (normal dialogs look fine to me).
Im heavilly trying to make the gameplay interesting. Unique boss fights with AI and skills that are always usefull. I will most likely try to get all skills to be useful in PvP too.Well I dont have too many RPG elements yet. But Im thinking of starting to add some charecters and mechanics to give the game a better athmosphere.
Look my zombie defence if you are interested (It does not look like and rpg yet though...)
So far well the skill system before was a mess...but they fixed it and I think its perfectly fine now. The game is enjoyable, even though I feel like monk fails to be as cool as it should have been (the combo system could be a bit better)

I find starcraft marines boring and ugly (tuchiys was kinda cool though).
but warhammer space marines are so badass with all those chainsaw swords and guns!

You should probly visit teamliquid. They have plenty of melee map makers and I recall seeing a thread about map symmetry.

Holy smokes kueken. Thats like a zealot spectre, amazing! :D. Love how the animations are so smooth.
Things like these just make me wonder if I could do something better in my own projects.

Mech arena
there seems to be 2 similar projects going on, and this is something I wanted to make from day1 but didnt have skills to do it.
You can buy weapons to your mech (spells and automatic weapon) upgrade defensive abilities (shield, stuns etc...)
Would be a sweet game. Yet I doubt Ill ever start doing it.

I actually do lik the lightning. Really great atmosphere.
Only thing that bothers me is those giant rocks...they dont really fit the alien theme too well.
