Hey guys, just wanted some feedback on a show I'm working on. This version of the episode is almost completely done, we are planning on updating the logo at the very least.
Jack, sorry I didn't get the MCE done in time, I needed to finish this up first.
Look at only works for the highly detailed campaign models, in case you didn't already know. Shouldn't be an issue for any of the ones in your scene though.
Thank you so much! I ended up re positioning the scene to avoid the nexus, but I will definitely need this in the near future. I really appreciate the help.
Pretty cool, especially for your first one. To expand on what Jack said, use the curve editor to make moving camera shots rest smoothly. Also, a lot of units have a kind of turn animation so you don't need to see them slide along the floor. If you can't fix that, a good rule of thumb is to use good shots to hide turns.
You need to match the scale of the walk animation to the speed of the character a little bit better as well.
I've never tried anything with text like that before, but aside from being a bit quick, it looked very well done.
For the purposes of animation only (not worrying about keeping track of economy and spending it), how would I create triggers to have a protoss base already saturated and mining, gas and minerals?
I don't want to animate them individually, it would be far faster to use triggers if I can.
You should really spend the time reading the manual. Took me 4 hours to put together a 2 minute video on my first sit down. There are limitations, but if you combine both methods you can really do a lot more.
That's what I was hoping for. It seems like it should be simple to tell a model to grab a specific texture in a data field instead of an actor event (which I've used to create a custom thor). But I need to figure this out if I want to use my thor in the CE.
I don't mind copying the model, changing the texture and uploading a new one, I just don't really know how. I'm going to look into it though.

Anyone know how to alter the model in the CE?

Thank you guys for doing this, it's been an amazing help for me. Hopefully I can give back to this community as I get better.

Not hard. As easy as importing a texture I'd imagine. I'm doing voices, but I'm also not releasing a map file, I'm rendering to video.

Should I post this in the CE forum?

It's OK. I'm doing a simple idea. I just want to try and contribute a bit to this portion of the community that's helping me out so much.

I'll be entering in this one.

I think I will do that, thanks.
You are incredibly helpful. When my main project releases I'm definitely giving you a shoutout in the credits.

So there's no way to copy the unit, and tell it to point to another texture that I import? I feel like that should be really easy.

Ah, I'm such an idiot. Had reduced violence on...
