Here's the first sketch I ever animated. Very unpolished, and just used as a method of learning to use the attachment tool and the "head bobbing". I don't make custom animations with 3d programs, I just tweak the default animations into what I need.
Writing is my main focus. I'm also writing live sketches to film later this month and an 80's style slasher film that's currently in production for a teaser to put up on a kickstarter. PM me some contact details if you're interested and we can talk. I'm mostly interested in getting my name credited for writing and building a portfolio I'm proud of.
Also, here's a rough draft of the first episode for a side project I'm working on with a partner. I didn't write it alone but I did animate the in-game sequences.
Well I'm creating my own show and looking for people to do everything but write. I animate, I recently recruited a mapper, and I've got a guy who can do basic retexturing for models.
Do you want to help animate my show?
I love this by the way:
Edit:
Actually, my main focus is writing. I would love to touch up a script or try my hand at writing out an idea you have.
Dropbox corrupts it if you open the map file in dropbox and save to it. I don't know why.
What I've always done i keep the map in Dropbox, and whenever someone works on the map they copy it to their own folder outside of dropbox.
When they make changes, they rename the file with their name and the date and upload it. This means that no one's work get's overwritten on accident and it's not too hard to merge files or keep track of what was going on, and none of the files are corrupted.
The position of set designer has been filled. I'm very excited and I'll have an update soon. I have about 2:45 seconds of the first episode done and the process has sped up greatly. I haven't released any more videos because the next video I show I want to have some audio filled in, and right now I need to wait to meet with the actors. I might do a preliminary take with my own voices but it's a waste of time. Luckily, I'll be getting multiple episodes recorded so future episodes will be done properly with the audio track prepared in advance.

I actually have just found a Terrainer/Set Designer who is working very well with me right now, but thanks for the offer! What I do need is someone who is experienced in skinning models and someone who wants to take over the animation completely. I honestly just want to write the damn thing, but you gotta do what you gotta do.
@FenixKissKerrigan: Go And the first rule to understand people is to read their posts. Taco said it isn't trolling, its just plain bad and unwanted behavior, got it?
Regardless, this is just giving him the response he wants, troll or not.
I'm working on a web series and I need very small, yet somewhat detailed sets. If you're interested at all I could send you some of my work and my scripts to see if it's something you'd like to do. It would be very infrequent, leisurely work, I can promise that. I could definitely donate 20-30 bucks down the line if you end up doing the maps.
Anyway, I really hope you do get work and I can't wait to see what you produce. Good luck.
I'm having a blast writing my current show. I decided to keep all the unit names the same, but most things regarding the lore show only the palest resemblance to their origins. I grew up with sci-fi so I'm using Starcraft to make jokes about things I read in Asimov and Heinlein or watched on Star Trek. I'm rewriting first contact with the zerg right now.
I am keeping basic some frameworks though. Civil war with the Terrans, they find the zerg, then they meet the protoss. The zerg will be a hive-mind, but there is no Mengsk or Raynor, no Kerrigan, no Dominion or Raiders.
As for a campaign Idea, my favorite thing about the original storyline was how they drew up characters with realistic motivations and then created a theme about betrayal and trust that you were constantly invested in, either through the events of the plot or by playing as the other races/factions.
I'd like to see that in a story again. Characters that have similar goals that conflict down the line. The evil you know and the evil you don't see coming, etc. I haven't played/read much fan fiction but I could see the protoss being a good focus for a plot involving factions and betrayal. Their advanced civilization combined with religious zeal could make for a nice little subplot and could be well received considering we're all waiting for that 3rd expansion.

I'm kind of confused as to how this works. I create different cutscenes that you play via triggers?
I'm still very green on the whole "game-part" of the game editor.
So I need to plan out a "choose your own adventure" battle and save each scenario as a cutscene? How is it put together?

No problem. Just open up the .bat file with notepad and change the video quality and format to your choosing.

If you want to convert the .y4m, here's the way to do it.
You can name the file by turning on compression, naming it, and then unchecking the box.
If by TGA sequence you mean a series of screenshots, that was essentially the .y4m is.

Oooh, I can't wait.

SC1 feels to me like a western style Gundam Wing.

This is nice. I hope they do a lot of these since they're really short.
