I made a custom minimap somewhere. I don't remember where. Concept should be somewhat similar.
Anyways, just make a interval that checks units around your hero (radar range), get their coordinates. Minus hero's coordinates X Y from the enemy units X Y. Multiply by the number by 0.25 (or the number that suits the radar size). Add the XY to the origin of your radar. Draw the 2d image for "enemy units" on that location. There you go.

Or you can save distance and angle between the enemy and the ghost. Essentially the same thing and still have to do the sames tep from Temp X *=0.25 (scaling)
Using interact ability is quite simple, make a radius (500 for global) just add the ability to your building/unit.
There are limitations though. For example, you cannot buy through interaction ability if the interacting unit is not neutral controlled and the alliance is not neutral. Anyways there is a workaround for that, where you make an ability that does not cost anything and checks the resources of issuing order player and etc...
For some reason the editor crashes when I open an upgrade field that is both "campaign related" and "melee related"
For example, Protoss Ground weapons, Terran Infantry weapons.
Pretty much any upgrade that both exists in campaign and melee. It crashes when it is trying to retrieve "Upgrade Effect"
edit: btw, there is a non-marine Raynor, its on the characters part of units, its called "SM - Raynor (Commander)", but its a high-quality model/texture, used for the Hyperion, the Armory and so on (its in a really god quality), there are models like that for a lot of other characters. There are also a bunch of in-scale units like dropships and a hydralisk in there, could be really great to make cutscenes.
yeah, I don't think they can be used as units until edited though. Great for cutscenes. They are all cutscene related from the campaign.
I just found Dark Archon, it's just not a unit, but it's there.
Yes I've found a bunch already. Plus there are some story mode assets which may be usable in the regular game. (Story mode is apparently what they call in-game cinematics as well as the mission selection interface.)
For example: there are "Dark" versions of almost every protoss unit (even the probe).
Also at least three more critters: Cow, Sheep, and Dog.
edit 2: there's a flashlight model for attachment...
SS-Terratron, it's the one used on April Fool's day. Story ones can be used, I'm guessing it's for cutscenes though. If you see them through previewer they are just models without animations.

well, the models say "Dark"
And yes there is a dark archon but it's not exactly DA from SC1

terratron is just a model. You can make it into an unit but you need to do it yourself.

it's on low. On my laptop. Yeah but there aren't many units as I though there would be. There is a murloc marine though same one from WoW.
