You are a freshly trained Ghost sent to a distant colony in response to Zerg sightings on the planet. The colony is ill-equipped to defend itself against such a threat and it is up to you to help them survive this struggle.
I haven't had any motivation lately to work on any of my projects because of the same reasons the OP states. Hell I haven't even released my finished RPG I made for the blizz contest...
I actually tried it a few days ago. I never played any CnC before. I had to force myself to get through the first level, hoping that perhaps I would get to build a real base in the next one. I was sadly disappointed and quit there. :(
Also it felt really weird with the short clips between missions. o.O
Yap, another update for Hex'd. This time there are two new game modes: High Hexer & Contamination. Uploaded on EU. Feel free to upload elsewhere (but check that it's not already up there first!).
High Hexer is basically a VIP game mode, one guy on your team is special and your job is to protect him while killing the other team's VIP.
Contamination is like infection/zombie etc etc depending on whichever FPS you played before. 3 Players start as Infested Hexers and their purpose is to sneak up on the Hexers and contaminate them! The Infested Hexers win if they manage to turn everyone to their cause, and the Hexers win if they manage to hold out for 3 minutes.
Feedback and suggestions are very much appreciated. I've been working on Hex'd for a long time and I have no plans of abandoning it, I'm just running out of new content to add. :-)
I'm the High Hexer, rawr! I have tons of life! My minion AIs protect me!
Poor Player 3 got jumped by a nasty Infested Hexer! I hope he won't be coming for me next...
Uh oh! Player 3 has turned against me! I better keep my distance or I will risk becoming contaminated as well!
Ow, that didn't turn out too well. They caught me and turned me ugly! :-(
I wouldn't say it all depends on what race you play. If you really want to get better then you need to understand all races. You don't become good by learning a build some famous player used and simply doing it step by step without really knowing the thought behind it. I would say the best way to get better is to learn what units counter eachother and think, think, think. Invent your own strategies! Ponder which unit combinations work well together and what weaknesses they might have.

I'd get a better graphics card, but you'd better listen to someone who actually knows something about hardware. :o

I just ran into the same problem. Luckily I found this post and s3rius' custom script workaround. :>
Thanks,

Not likely, ey? This tutorial helps to increase framerate and performance, not reduce latency which is the issue with FPSs.
Good tutorial though! I've been using the trigger debugger since the beginning myself, it's very informative.
