    posted a message on copy+paste+delete original =working trigger (wth?)

    Yeah Ive had several instances of this within the data editor as well. While the editor is fairly complete there still seems to be some elusive bugs floating around that need to be squashed.

    If you keep playing and owning your opponents hard and they are favored you will actually rank to the next tier very quickly. For example a friend and I have been doing 2v2s we started in silver worked our way up and then got into Gold. Once in Gold we one 5 or 6 games in a row against favored opponents and ranked instantly into Platinum League. So the system seems to account for your skill if you begin to rapidly improve against your opponents.

    posted a message on Copying data with Editor Prefixes

    Whether this counts a bug or not I find it rather annoying. One of the things Ive actually grown to like is the Editor Prefixes. it allows me a way to further have the data tabs sorted in an organized manner with skills and abilities and weapons that are all related, but perhaps not in a direct name sense. Regardless I found an annoying issue with editor prefixes. If you happen to take your data and copy it from one map to another all your editor prefixes disappear. I was really pissed when this happened and I realized that I was going to have to redo like 300 editor prefixes. it seems to me that the editor prefix should copy over with everything else but for some strange reason it doesn't. This is a fairly small bug (if it's even considered one) and probably not many people have experienced it but I didn't see a post about it so I figured I'd warn everyone. If they are like me and work in a team where sometimes additional work is created on a separate map don't bother with the editor prefixes until everything is on the map it's supposed to be on.

    posted a message on Custom Hero Line Wars Universe - Ninjacore Studios

    @solidtuber: Go

    Our new test release date has been pushed back to the end of august (hopefully). We plan to make a US release and perhaps we can find some volunteers to upload it to the EU and AUS servers then we will try to upload there as well.

    I'll take this moment to post some updates though. We have most of the heroes and their abilities finished. only two heroes are left to polish. and of those two we have them about 75-80% done. Creature summons are sadly only about 15% done but most of our priority has been to finish and polish the heroes. Once our focus shifts to the creature summons we can assume fast and rapid completion. we also have settled for only 6 heroes on version 1 releases (I was honestly hoping for more but hero skills and abilities especially when creating them from scratch can be very time consuming.

    Our reason for not really keeping everyone up to date on our progress the beta patch blizzard released right before official screwed up close to half the stuff we had completed. I'm sure many other mappers know this as well, but for those just trying to keep an eye on the project I figured it was time to post an update.

    Over the next couple of weeks one thing we will need is about 8 or 9 individuals who would be willing to help us beta test the map and help us with balancing issues. With that in mind we will be looking for anyone with outside the box thinking IE (if your first impulse when playing a game/map is to find any exploitable bugs and exploit them we want you). If you are interested just send me a PM and give me your bnet name and I will be more than willing to add you and when the time comes contact you for some help.

    also anyone who would like to help with the testing need only have one requirement: Ventrilo and a Mic.

    posted a message on [Blizzard Contest] Custom Maps

    @SaucySC: Go

    The Original Work of Authorship is just a legal agreement on your behalf that the work that you submit to the contest is actually yours, and you are not infringing on anyone's copyright. Has nothing to do with which rights you still have or don't have on the work you submit.

    On a side note. I have several concerns about this contest and the actual quality of maps submitted. Primarily is the short deadline, September 11th is a very short deadline and IMO quality and polish can't be rushed. Blizzard should know this better than anyone considering they continually push back release dates for the sake of highly polished and quality games. Secondly there is no room for group works. as has been mentioned before. And if you want good quality a team is the best and fastest way to get there. The prizes leave no room for teamwork so I find it highly unlikely that anyone will bother to post a group project.

    I certainly hope they have end up have high quality maps to choose from but the nature of this contest leaves me doubtful of that result.

    posted a message on Stopping creep from disappearing

    @weblys: Go

    I don't know if this is possible I believe there isn't a direct way to stop creep from disappearing. However that being said there maybe a workaround. I do believe I recall a campaign mission towards the end on Char where creep seemed to be permanent, but I could be wrong. Also the maybe some way to apply the visual but not have a creep source or if you have to have a creep source make a new unit give it the creep source and/or creep grow behavior and then make that unit invisible and untargetable. No clue though if that will work for you since I don't know how you are trying to use this concept.

    posted a message on Target Find/Sort

    I happened to be searching through threads about target sorts looking for something else and came across this post and figured I post a quick answer. The answer to your question is yes. When you first make the target sort under the ID the pull down menu options for the types of Target Sorts you can select one that says Behavior count. You may have already figured this out but just in case you were still wondering.

    I hope we do see more stuff like this Xenrathe. I loved the visual style and effects you had going. The music fit to a T as well. I must admit you make something of this quality and release it I will be there to play it. (I don't like pulling myself away from my own current project but for something of this level of professionalism, I would.)

    posted a message on Make Command Card buttons Appear in game?

    Okay Here is the deal I have a hero with 11 abilities and only 10 spare Command Card slots on the main page. What I was hoping to do is have 1 slot where two abilities are placed but only 1 because viewable/usable based on what particular (research/talents) the user selects. So far I'm not quite sure if this can be done. What it's looking like to me is the requirements option for each skill, but my major question is if there will be any issues with having both skills overlapped on the single command card slot and what I would really prefer is that particular slot to be black (not grayed out) until the user completes the research/talent and then have it place the appropriate skill button. Anyone know if that can be done in game? and if so willing to point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

    Edit: Yes I know about Sub menus. I just refuse to use them until either we the users figure out how to make the sub menu stay on that page after using the ability or blizzard adds that function (assuming they haven't).

    posted a message on Diablo like Attribute Points system

    I know a lot of people have wanted to see a Diablo Attribute system where when you level you get some "Attribute Points" and then are able to apply them to specific attributes (IE Strength, Agility) so here it is for all who want to see one way this can be accomplished. Feel free to level comments, questions, and yes even flames (It's Diablo he can take the heat) here or on the actual project page. Enjoy everyone.

    Diablo Attributes System

    The link should work but it may still be under approval and I have no idea if other people can view unapproved stuff, but if not then just give it some time and it should start working soon.
