I added a custom unit to my game and I added all the needed data to "Upgrades: Effect" and "Upgrade: Affected Unit Array" like the other units inculded there in order the unit can be upgraded in attack and defence, but it doesn't.. do you have any idea how to fix it?
I want to add new unit to my published game. I created leveling behavior that working with the unit except with the Exp gaining. It only working if I deleting the "set default melee options for all players" trigger which removes the victory and maybe other things on the way. I'm looking for other way to solve it. Do you have any suggestions?
Problem solved!!! Thank you so much for your help!!!
You are welcome to my game - "Land of Liberty" on EU (-: I'm hosting it almost daily for a couple of hours.
@li5445: Go If it has data requirements and your opponents can build it, it must be a requirement issue. Maybe you do the requirements fine but there's an alias or something your opponent makes or if you can train it from several buildings in one you didn't set the requirement right?
If you attach the map with the requirement I can check it out and help you. You don't have to put in the unit or anything, just the requirement.
I attached for you map which includes the exact requirement I have to my custom unit but only with the Voiid ray instead. Its called "Void Ray Requiremens".
I published a game, all workes fine and the game is great except from one thing - I gave to one of the units I created requirement that let it be produced only once (like the mothership), and from some reason it workes for me but not works for my opponents and allows them to produce this unit freely, which causing disadvantage for me and my allies, because this unit is too strong if it produced more than once.
I would very very appreciate any suggestions you have which could solve this problem because the last thing I want is to remove this unit after I worked on it for over a month...
If your map is private, only you can see it. Now, if you started the map lobby and then invited him to a game, I believe he would have a copy saved locally. But if you never invited him to play, and it really was private, there's no way he should be able to access the map. Now, it used to be possible to break the security on a locked public map, but I'm not sure if that's still possible.
Did you create any custom dependencies/mods? If you made a dependency, and then uploaded THAT publicly, he would be able to get it even if the map itself was private.
No. The only dependencies I used is - swarm and liberty mod and campaign (4 dependencies)
A few days ago I published a map set on "Private" and "Unlocked", and today I published it again set on "Public" and "Locked" and someone in the game said that he downloaded my map and used it. I need to know if he really was able to download it in "Private" mode, and if yes, does he can use my all customized data (not the map), like changed units, stractures, abilities etc and publish it like it was its own game?
I found what caused the problem, it was because I deleted the trigger "set default melee options for all players" in order to enable my custom hero unit I created to be able to move up levels.
Unfortunetely this replacing the problem with the hero which now can't move up levels.
I will be very happy to get some help with this.
I published a game (after a long serious series of problems and more than two months of work), all was good except that after playing a game and destroying all the enemy structures, the game doesn't announcing on the winning/ losing player and keeps in the game as usual, even if there was left only one player in the game.
Pleeeeease help me fix that!
Problem fixed!!!!
Here is what I did:
I started an entirly new map, published it (for spoting the problem by going step by step) (after fixing what preventing it from publishing in the publish window), then exported all the data for both maps, transfered the files in "GameData" to the new map together with all the localized folders data (by adding the the data in the end of the line of each similar file), then publish it again (for checking there is no error). Eventually I adding my previous dependecies and publish it at the last time!
It recommanded not to change anything with the player properties/game varient/game attribute.
Hope it will worked for you too! Good luck!
You probably need to fill out some information in the Battle.net options. So look at the top left and click map, then find Battle.net and click that. Next, just fill in whatever you did not and then you should be able to publish it.
It didn't helped...
In one of the forums said that the problem can caused if using Blizzard's map, so I want to try to replace/remove it. Do you know how to do it without removing all my data?
