Thanks for the reply but my materials are already sc2 materials, I am just using the composite map( for color ), I am not using any textures whatsoever for this model
I have tried for several weeks to get a model exported to sc2, I am not really that interested in art tools as the model is just about finished( just need to finish up a few basic animations )with no luck whatsoever. I have followed all the steps given in the m3 exporter. Whenever I run the script it says I have no sc2 materials, but I had 2 materials, it showed up perfectly fine in 3ds max, I have no clue what is wrong and would like some help. Can anyone shed some light on me for sc2 materials and how to set them up in 3ds max(2012 because no student version of 2010)? I would hate to have wasted all this time making a model. I realize that I may be missing something somewhat obvious to someone experienced and I apologize if that is the case.
Well I created the model in 3ds max 2014, so I tried to open in 2012 but I couldn't, finally I realized I could save as 2012. I had to recreate the materials though. Still isn't working quite right... but I am getting close( it compiles now ).
The reason why I don't use 2011 is that there is no student version for it. It says 3ds max 2012 is supported... I just spent a long time on the model and would hate not to be able to use it. Now I am getting strange sc2 objects errors when I open the program. I am just really not sure how to setup a standard sc2 material with no texture, no alpha blending, just color.
I finally got the m3 export script to compile after much hassle. I am using 3ds max 2012, the model is an editable mesh, only sc2 materials, no textures( images ), I added bones, I ran a scene check and it said no errors. My model animation is 100 frames. I even imported to sc2 and tried to preview it and it came up blank. It says I dont have any sc2 materials applied when I do. ... Any ideas? This is getting really frustrating.
I have made my own model, and I am wondering if you can play for example frames 500-750 backwards or 100-300 forward at certain speeds? I just need to know how to set my model up. Thanks everyone.
Could it be because the script for 3ds max is out-of-date? I am using only starcraft 2 materials, but for some reason I think it isn't working due to updates to the game. Anyone have any ideas?
The import script worked just fine. Now I am having problems just running the script! Any ideas? Here is the error: ...edit there is no upload button. It says compile error duplicate struct name: unkown 7 blah blah blah.
