Say you're making a map: yet another wave defense, hero defense, RPG, tower defense, or really anything that you want to spice up, what can YOU do to give your map that extra kick, something that makes it stand out from the rest of the crowd? How about an easy button? An instant way out? I introduce you to: "Dark Protoss" the upgrade, courtesy of Blizzard. Dark Protoss is an upgrade level for the Protoss units hidden deep within the editor, (or the triggers of the "A Sinister Turn" mission if you were paying attention during that mission) that instantly gives your Protoss units a palette swap to a more dark and ominous Black and Red rather than Yellow - White and Blue.
The Point
To add this to your units simply add the "Add Upgrade Level for Player" action to the Map Initialization trigger (Or make your own trigger with a specified time for the Protoss to turn dark) and add 1 "Dark Protoss" upgrade to whatever player(s) that you want. Congratulations, your Protoss units now look (more) awesome.
Screenie for the lazy and yes you do need the Campaign dependency loaded; as you can see, not all Protoss are affected, the Mothership, Phoenix, Scout and obviously Dark Templar unfortunately remain unchanged, but the rest look pretty great.
The buildings also change. It looks really nice. If you get the upgrade does it apply to every protoss that it affects? Is there a way to make it affect only certain protoss?

AHA! i was trying FOREVER to figure that out! I was looking the editor, comparing ,taking screenshots...lol
Coolios. I assume you need the campaign dependencies for this.
Can you add a screenshot for the lazy? :P Sounds neat.

Noob question: how do I add the campaign dependencies?
file >> dependencies >>> add
make sure liberty (story) is at the top of the list or your map wont work
Thanks, zeldarules28!!!
Hmmm, interesting. Lots of cool units in there but adding the dependency seems to have messed up my map.
I've helped a lot, thanks!
