My map is finally finished, it is out of beta and it works like it was intended to. Have fun with it and give me some feedback please! Also if you have any suggestions about adding or leaving stuff just give me a reply here or email me at [email protected].
You need to survive the constant onslaught of the infected. Destroy both Infested Colony Ships to win or survive 60min, you lose if you Command center is destroyed. This is a 2 player map, but you can also play alone.
Tried your map and i can say it s pretty buggy :).
Heres a few pointers.
With 2 players it will say the 2nd player "is not playing" on the scoreboard.
You spawn WAY to big waves. I Gott a pretty decent comp but the wave spawning just almost freezes the game. Huge laggspikes when spawning stuff. Dont spawn an enitre wave at the same time like thatT_T
The hp on units makes no sense. Right side we had infested with around 8-20 hp
And left side had after bout 20min 80-100, and the big fatties had like 1k
The ships bottom left and right got like no hp?. If u just have a small force of units u run around with u can kill the ships really ezy. I mean sunkens had like less than 100 hp O.o. Could prolly kill the stuff with the starting units if i tried.
And what am i supposed to do with all the Gas i get on the map? O.o. Nothing needs the gas besides uppgrades. And u can only do 1 uppgrade as then u need armory for 2nd lvl :)
The scaling on the map really needs some more fixin :o

Leaderbord: did you play the game alone with the AI? Because then its correct. If you played with 2 players then its a bug and need to be fixed.
Wave spawns, well you need so many troops to have a hard map, or else its way to easy. And the lagspikes is not because of the waves spawns. But because of some bugs i had. And needed to fix it with a constant 1sec command to attack. So if you have 200 units on them map. The will all get commands every second. Maybe the trouble is i am not using waves, i don't get how the work at all. Just using the WC3 methode.
That should not be right, and are you sure about this. Because i scaled both infected players with a 5% hp boost every 60 second.
Well i thought nobody would attack that ship in the beginning, maybe should have changed it to 10000 also.
well. all u have 2 do is build auto turrets on the walls-.- medics and firebats aint needed :p and u need at most 1 refinery atm on the map as there is very few mineral nodes-.-

I think it was a good map for a lot of reasons and a not-so-good map for some reasons.
THE GOOD:
I like that you went the extra mile and made it a little more atmospheric than the average Defense map. nice touch with the npc marines and civilian cars etc.. Instantly made it more memorable than the usual symmetrical maps.
I like that you used Infected models and not the usual zerg ones. Something about shambling zombies just makes me go "ooooh".
The game plays like it should, the defenders frantically trying to reiinforce against crazy hordes of unwashed zergbies.
THE BAD:
Zerg air. The map isn't (in my opinion) designed to handle zerg air units. The terran players have no chance to make adequate contermeasures, and any advantage of the high ground is negated by the zerg flyers. Having played your map, I know that the zerg can't win without any air as the map is currently. But that could be fixed by adding another entrance, altering spawn times, hp, cost etc.. NO AIR PLEASE!!! or at least give the terrans some vikings or something.
Terran resources. there are a lot of them. After you get a critical mass of scvs, it just becomes a question of building 100 barracks and spamming out marines. You still can't win, due to the zerg air, mind.
I think the map scales too quickly. the best units are available right from the start, and there is nothing preventing you from spamming them and only them. Kind of ruins the vibe when there is ONLY aberrations coming after you.
Anyways, I enjoyed playing it, and I hope you'll make more maps!
