i still need someone to publish it on US and also if someone loves snipers and wants to help everyone is welcome i would love some nice terrainer cause i really didnt spend much time on the terrain..
was playing with some guys a while ago and they gave me idea to penalise teamkills and to add EMP to counter cloak so i added it cause i think it will add more tactic to the game :)
Snipers too me was a fun paced twist on the usual, but it didn't really hold my attention for too long. I really loved how your could in'a sense; hone a few micro skillz with it; namely keen-eye spotting and accuracy clicks. I preferred WC3s rendition of Paint ball though, where the weapons were capable of being dodged, had collision (so they could impact terrain/unintended targets) and a few power ups to keep things going.
It seems kind'a rough to improve much upon the old snipers maps without really just making it a rehash of the new "Bounty Hunters", however. I mean, I'f love to see Snipers SC reborn and evolved, but it's almost stuck in the same rhetoric as Starcraft itself is in; it HAS to use a set game play model; that's what made it great in the first place. Deviate too much from the standard old UMS Snipers game play and that map ceases to be a Snipers map and becomes something else. Kind'a blows. Good to see that this map still maintains it's roots, despite how much I wish it could change into.

u can remake counter strike if u like
add some ability. what about blink? or illusion?
i did cloak.. i did capture the flag.. both teams have camera facing the other teams base so everyone can hide behind trees and stuff same way. when you are hiding uve less line of sight so if other ppl are concentrated they will hit you even if u are behind trees and stuff..
its all about who uses the character better .. who is faster.. who is smarter .. whats the team with more team work think thats fun .. but ye maybe its still too simplebut if you play it with friends its fun

I'll try to just be as straight forward as I can with suggestions and criticism.
Terrain/Vision:
It's very annoying, people on the blue team were complaining alot as it's definitely easier going up than it is going down. I see you tried to rotate the camera/minimap but it doesn't work out very well.
You won't like this but please change the terrain to Left/Right instead of Up/Down it wouldn't actually be that much work. It would be alot more balanced and scrolling sideways is easier as well, the screen is naturally longer horizontally than vertically. Please consider this.
The forced camera on your unit is also irritating, it doesn't work too well in RTS. Letting people scroll around would be better in our opinion. I know you probably want to keep it more like a shooter game, but it would be for the best. Atleast try it out.
Flag
You absolutely must move the flag and spawns away from each other. Spawning invulnerable upon a flag as a guy tries to capture it ruins the game completely. It happened several times, the only times you can take it when they are Alive and Away from their base.
I suggest putting the flag slightly away towards the center, But making those who carry it slowed down slightly, so spawns can still chase them down, even if they have to catch up a bit.
Economy
As you've mentioned you want to keep it as simple as possible, having a few items able to be purchased is always a possibility.
Either only have consumable items with slight benefits OR have permanent ones but you loose them all if you die.
Assuming you consider this, gold could be gained slowly overtime and from kills/scoring of course.
Summary
Please make the map left to right.

thanks man i like your suggestions cause i was thinking on most of them the camera was one of my problems and i was thinking in making the map sideways and with your opinion i really think ill do it :P

As in cast your ability on a unit/point and shoot a projectile towards that point? Dealing damage to unit's upon contact, fading on contact with doodads/walls?
I have a test map with that ability, you could probably easily copy it across if you like.

Hello. If you want some help with this I would be willing to help. I can't seem to find the mod in the custom games in Stacraft 2 but I did download the version you had on curse. Its not completely up to date I can tell because of your previous posts. I think this mod has potential. I never played it in SC1 though. I am familiar with the tools in the editor. I wouldn't call me quite an expert but I can do a lot of things. Im more of the data editor and trigger editor kind of guy but I guess I can give the terrian editor a try sense you need one of those. I'll send you a PM of my Starcraft 2 user name and character code.

I want to keep it as simple as possible but with fair and skilled gameplay

Perhaps experiment with things such as line of sight blockers to make the gameplay more interesting?

k already changed the map the spawn the speed and the speed when you get flag and also ppl can turn off the camera follow :)
