Oh really? lol thanks for the tip. :D Anyways I have a question for you. I was looking at your channel and I kind of realized you have all these maps that use third person views and all these crazy effects- how the heck do those work on battle net? Like doodad hunt and speedcraft- doesn't multiplayer WASD plus third person camera kill the game?
doesn't multiplayer WASD plus third person camera kill the game?
WASD movements system using Keypress ruins the game because of lag.
But I think Progammer made one WASD using the command card with abilities, and I think it's something like this that bounty_98 is using.

He doesn't have a fix :).. He just does whatever he can to try to get it to work as smoothly as he can.
Which He has done a pretty good job at...
Bounty this map is looking very nice. Keep up the good work.
( I know you have tried a few pvp map. I would really like to see this one fully finished and polished )

I think the main reason none of my previous PvP maps were fully realized was because i got out of order in the development. As you can see with this one im taking the proper path.
1. Character Select
2. Classes
3. Terrain
4. Polish
Also, thank you for the whole WASD comment. With every map ive ever made it always gets better. This map easily has my best WASD because ive eliminated the keypress events that so plague all of my previous maps :).
Very cool. The WoW models work quite well. The Avatars of Creation and Disease are my favourite (what's with War's unreasonably large sword?). Can one avatar be chosen by two different players?
Have you tried competing on Battle.net with anybody yet? I thought WASD controls weren't possible online. If you manage to pull it off it will give alot of people hope regarding keypress events.
Finally, some constructive feedback:
1. I notice that in all of your demo videos, the heroes tend to move through animations (most notably their basic attack animations). It would look a bit better if you could freeze movement while the attack is going on.
2. Alot of these spell effects are very large and take up a lot of the screen. It looks pretty awesome for the person using the ability, but if six people all used epic abilities like that in one place it would be really tough to tell what's going on.
3. It would be nice if some of the abilities felt a little more impactful. I noticed that the surrounding terrain rarely shows signs of the abilities and the attacks themselves have few noticable effects on the enemy units. The avatar of disease's green bug ability is perfect in this regard...look at what you did there and transfer it to the others. Sending other heroes flying through the air would really make the spells feel like part of the game. The avatar of war's kick and lunge abilities pull that off great, but he shouldn't be alone.
Other than that, it looks awesome. I especially like the backgrounds you chose for each character in the selection screen and the epicness of the ultimate abilities.
How many custom models and textures do you have? Won't that put your map over the 10 mb limit? Or can you put the models in a dependency and then use that dependency?

I have about 6-7mb of models at the moment and i plan to add more (Not for playable Avatars :)). Yes, i use a mod dependency for all the assets so technically my limit is 21mb.

Everything looks so smooth. The potential for an awesome game here is very real.
holy sweet jesus...
Thanks guys, a new video showcasing the Avatar of Disease should be up in a day or two, maybe sooner :)
I'd use WOW models myself.....If I could get them to work >.< But I also don't own WOW so I can't just pull out the files. :(
Regardless, it looks very polished. Nice work.
I dont own WoW either, you can use a free trial account and it will download all the files needed to open EVERY model via wowmodelviewer. :)
Also, thank you <3

AMAZING :D Would you kindly make a tutorial on how to make such IMPRESIVE abilities?

Do you think you'll run into problems with the 10mb map size limit?
I use a mod for all of the assets (models, music etc) so i have a total of 21mb of space available for the project which is more then enough :)

I got another question for ya, bounty ;)

Since you can always add more than one mod your limit in total would be about 50 mb. That is as long as you limit yourself to 1 Account. :-P
