this map is really fun, I have no friends on on my friends list right now so I tried to just play a public game. That didn't work waited for like 15 minutes for someone to join. The lobby/join system is a big piece of crap not a single person joined. I played a couple times by myself, single player doesn't work very well because units spawn in the other locations still even if I kill everything at my base. It was fun and I really wanted to upgrade and make more expensive towers but alas I could not because my towers were getting destroyed as the leaks went to the nexus and eventually the upkeep on the lost towers was too much for the 7 wave and I just let them all through.
I want to play it in full games too bad its not on the first page =\
I've had the same issue with maps, maybe if there was a section on the site were we could give our ids so we'd make a game together to bump its popularity.
Maybe go to the Map Testers Threadso your can start adding their names on battle.net. Have them leave you feedback either here or on battle.net, I think the more feedback in the forum will add more interest though. The testers will also boost the games played and help get it up a few pages at least.
I'm glad to hear its moving up! It is good to know that its possible to move up in the popularity system. I am always seeing people complain that it is impossible. I do not like the system though because it is impossible to play a non "popular" game with anyone other then your friends
I played 3.7 and there was no victory trigger (or defeat) after the final wave 40. Are we playing against the other side be least retribution %, most towers, or just if you can get to the end? The other team kept saying we win because we have the most towers but they were leaking more. No one won because there was no victory so we had to leave.
Final towers are pretty much impossible to build and keep a decent maze. I think this is because the money per kill is never increased so your just relying on the end of round minerals to upgrade. 1 mineral for every kill and 5 for every boss no matter how hard they are seems a little weird to me.
Only way to get past air waves without leaking too much is to build Terran units. The other two races only hit the air with the 3rd tower and if you are trying to upgrade to it you've already passed a few air rounds. The protos AA tower was pretty awesome, I had one with my terran stack but I still felt that I wasn't able to fully utilize the other races because I had to focus on AA.
The final wave was 1000x easier then the air wave before it, it was kind of a joke. The start seems to be focus on your maze then once you have a decent one focus on AA because the terran towers attack both air and ground.
After wave 40 I kinda wanted something more. It felt like it ended fairly quickly. Maybe for a final boss wave have it go through everyone's maze (only players in the game) on a side. Like start in top left and go through it, then warp to top right and go through it straight through to the end. Might be a good change from the self spawns.
I think there is some scaling issues with this map. I've yet to see a player in top position, that could manage all of their waves, while middle seems to have an increasingly easier time (spare leaks).
Also, I think the penalties for leaking come a bit early. Basically the game is 'First team to leak 20 units, quits the game, and other side wins' kind of victory... maybe increase the starting value for turret kills, and maybe even add penalty to the player who leaks? (kinda annoying when the back end goalie leaks, and kills middle guys turrets, even though middle guy hasn't leaked anything at all).
Wave 50, is an incredibly weak Boss... I think it has 12k HP/Shield? Which is less than wave 49 has per monster? (i think). Wave 30 was 100k?, 40 200k?).

I just fixed all the model problems I could find, animations, and death animations. Also removed bogus placement graphics for towers.
I cant figure out how to change the green "wireframe" model in the unti desc window and bottom of screen

Well the map is now on page 2 of the custom maps now. I made some big changes after getting input from several people and ad hoc testing on bnet.
The biggest being is hat each player gets a spawn now.
Again, as always: EU or US? If in US, consider upload to EU.
