I wanna introduce a new StarCraft 2 Arcade Game called Freax Arena. This game is going on Public Beta this Friday and we hope you will enjoy the mix of Strategy, PvP and RPG.
Trailer:
Gameplay: Two teams will play against each other (up to 6v6). You start the game with one of six heroes. You choose class and skills at the start screen and then you will send right into the action. The game is about getting the most points after 10 days (~ 30 minutes). How to get these points is up to the team. There are different ways like questing, random events, conquest and of course fighting. Your hero is getting stronger with every level and with every level you can spend skill points on the abilities you have chosen at the start screen or to level attributes or passives.
The Public Beta is kicking off at 7:30 pm (CET) but we gonna start a presentation on 7:00 pm (CET) on twitch.tv/msthechosenone
And of course we gonna play Freax Arena all night long. But therefore we could need some players ;)
We appreciate when you join us on some awesome 6v6 action in the new Freax Arena.
Final thoughts about it: Goa's averange map in sense of Balance and gameplay but a bit less broken while broken enough.
First experience was about A lot of running around the map, killing some creeps. But then those endless chaces across the whole map... No skills that would slow or stun for few sec or something to catch up.. And at all not much happening..
Then there is arena.. Spamming dmg skills or healing. No skills detected to do more impact in arena to heroes so it gone just sniping heroes out.
Ohhh, those Terran hostile camps that almost one shots u and great way to go suicide for enemies not to get u killed by them...
Very poor in being fun. Grinding here is dull enough. And near shops being invulnerable is a bit overkill.
4/10 predecessor of Goa's map. Grinding for items and having sense of progress is quite absent.
Thank you for your feedback. The chasing is indeed a problem with just a 3v3 and we are already working on some ability reworks and new abilities. I'm also thinking about improvements of the terrain structure.
The bases are very strong in the early game. But I think I already have a solution for the suicide problem. I think I'm changing it that you will get the kill even if your fleeing target is running away and suiciding to neutral enemies.
The main focus of this map is definitely doing objectives as a team. The gameplay isn't perfect yet. Indeed it's far away from this, but I'm working on it. I'd really like if you could give it another try in a few weeks and post more feedback.
