Either way, I have a new version. It makes the landing towers rebuildable and adds a new "repair tower" structure. If this tower dies, you lose your repair point. It may be rebuilt. Building on enemy landing towers will give you additional spawns. I am fully expecting some teething problems with this new system. Feedback is appreciated!
There are 2 new items. Drone armour and drone shielding. They do what you'd expect; give a sizeable chunk of health/shields to your drones/turrets.
Without having played yet, I'm already wondering why you added drone armour/shielding. Aside from maybe at the very start, this isn't something that really fits in with the maps in terms of playability - drones 'respawn' so fast anyway that it's usually not worth killing them as it is, making armour/shields somewhat void.
Oh, something I might add - I played a game some time ago where I went in as a healer battlecruiser. I bought six turrets and upgraded them all. One of my allies left and the other was a complete noob, basically rendering the match 1v3. Through insane turret micro I managed to keep the match at a stalemate - I only managed to do this because none of our enemies were really good either, if they had been pros they would've killed us. At one point I thought sod it, sold all my turrets, replaced them with 6X Missile Drones, and steamrolled the enemy base in about three minutes. I'm not too sure as to what this says as turrets and drones have slightly different functions, but I'm still edging towards "Turrets are underpowered".

They are upgradeable items that you equip. It wasn't an all round drone buff. I doubt any vehicle bar the carrier will see much use out of these - and having drones made of paper really made playing a carrier irritating. I was tempted to add a small attack speed bonus to the items for drones too, but I thought I'll just take 1 step at a time and see if they really are useless or simply a niche item.
I do like turrets. I feel that their range is a bit of a downside though. I'd like to bump their range to 11 or 12, but that'd let you siege enemy turrets from safety. The obvious answer is to just counter buff the base turret range, but then you'd be getting hit by them the moment you exit the close outposts.

Especially not as a carrier - you have so much drones anyway that you will constantly have at least 3 or 4 of them up. They already soak up plenty of damage.
As for turrets - I like them too, but I do somewhat feel like they don't live up to the awesomeness that is drones. I've been carefully thinking about whether it might be an idea to allow ranged turret placement in the same way a melee-style Raven throws them down. I'm sure this will make them overpowered in one or two areas of the game, but it would A) Greatly increase their offensive capabilities, allowing someone with full turrets instead of Drones to actually kill enemy battlebots, B) Not (as much) cause this 'sieging turrets from safety' problem you pointed out and C) Stop you from being so obscenely vulnerable when placing them. I like to see turrets as 'support' units, but right now the only way to use them for anything but pure defense is by basically 'towering' yourself towards your opponents by constantly deleting your last-most turret and rebuilding it at the front of a line. And this tactic is heavily underpowered as your enemy will just end up driving away, rendering your 5 minute of microing completely worthless.
Edit: Another thing regarding turrets, by the way! What do you think about the idea of making the base defense turrets to extra damage against placeable turrets? This would prevent the whole 'sieging turrets' thing without really buffing the base turrets.
I like to tell myself that it's too unintuitive and puts new players off. I must spend hours per week trying to find better/prettier ways to display things...
I also think it doesn't have enough explosions, but then I think that of everything so I'm unsure if the point is valid!

i am currently playing around with the editor myself.. i am currently on inventory and stuff and managed to make different invetories for different units. you said anything about a graphicsbug about it?
Well... I cant find map in the list... If I host nobody joins. So basically bnet is at the time being Bnet is useless for custom maps. Editor is so so. Only melee multiplayer and campaign is worth playing.
Well it actually is quite popular but since the last popularityreset it's frozen at 0 popularity like storm of the imperial sanctum.
From time to time i try join a game of catalyst and even though you have to scroll down 999 times there is more often than not atleast 1 guy in the lobby.
Lets hope that this bug gets fixed after the next reset.
Sounds interesting Eiviyn :) Also, try and check about replay recording, cause i dont get any replays from it (and no, its not in the wrong folder. Believe me, ive got experience with replays)

Ripping the whole thing to pieces and restructuring the whole game with a new layout while incorporating all the amazing feedback I've been given over the past month.
The core gameplay will stay faithful. Everything else is being rebuilt.

but there are some bugs, but hey, doesnt matter, you're working on a new version already. hope it works and i'm especially interested in a new terrain.

Don't know, was it repaired, but there is 1 funky bug:
If you upgrade their Armor, they start to have a glitch - you almost can't kill them, because their max hp is switching between 660 and 1440.
To shields that also applies.
