No offense but I feel like the people at the top get more diggs because people lose attention after 4 videos.
Just saying how I feel because I watched up to Friendlings and got bored of the rest of the videos.
Definitely! Notice how number of votes correlates somewhat to page position. (That and the top submissions also happen to be pretty damn good). I might actually make a graph for giggles.
Not a fault on anybody's part though; it's a great competition, and so there are a great number of entries. It can't be helped ^^

Question: Wasn't one of the contest rules that the submissions had to include a galaxy map file? I think this is a good rule since it gives something more to the community than just being a showcase of what can be done. If I'm not mistaken some of the contestants have failed to do this.
For example, I couldn't find a map file for Liberty's Crusade, which is visually very impressive. I would really like to see some of the techniques used.
I think the best way to vote is by simply letting people post on who you vote for and then add em all up because I've witnessed times where people cheat in polls or these. Maybe a requirement of over 20 posts or something to prevent multi-acc'ing. I also think you should just give the titles and link it to youtube instead of embedding to free up some space of scrolling down and a better feeling of choosing. Just my two cents to help out lol.

Thanks for the graph :) In order to get non-biased votes the entries should be displayed at random. However I don't know any software that let us do that :(

Well, imagine there are 400 people voting, I really don't want to read the 400 posts and write down the winners. I want it automated as possible :) As for the multi account, I hope no ones does that ... But it would require a much bigger infrastructure to avoid that than what we are willing to do for a fun contest (the prizes are only beta keys and curse premium ...).
As for puttin youtube link, I think it's better the way I did it, you just have to click to view things. You don't have to open youtube, get distracted by other videos and finally don't vote!

I really didn't expect that much entries and I had to decide what to do in nearly no time. I tried to do my best to give everyone the same chances and make the results as visible as possible. I know that's not perfect and this will definitively be improved for the next contests.

This was the easiest solution :( I know it sucks to register to digg to be able to vote but there isn't many tools that allow to rate as many videos.
No offense but I feel like the people at the top get more diggs because people lose attention after 4 videos. Just saying how I feel because I watched up to Friendlings and got bored of the rest of the videos.
I will switch the order of the entries every day, to give more fairness.

Definitely! Notice how number of votes correlates somewhat to page position. (That and the top submissions also happen to be pretty damn good). I might actually make a graph for giggles.
Not a fault on anybody's part though; it's a great competition, and so there are a great number of entries. It can't be helped ^^

Question: Wasn't one of the contest rules that the submissions had to include a galaxy map file? I think this is a good rule since it gives something more to the community than just being a showcase of what can be done. If I'm not mistaken some of the contestants have failed to do this.
For example, I couldn't find a map file for Liberty's Crusade, which is visually very impressive. I would really like to see some of the techniques used.
I think the best way to vote is by simply letting people post on who you vote for and then add em all up because I've witnessed times where people cheat in polls or these. Maybe a requirement of over 20 posts or something to prevent multi-acc'ing. I also think you should just give the titles and link it to youtube instead of embedding to free up some space of scrolling down and a better feeling of choosing. Just my two cents to help out lol.

It took me like 4 hours to collect all the entries, add a digg for everyone, create the listing. Haven't had the time to do everything I wanted yet :)

@Callex: Go Thanks for the graph :) In order to get non-biased votes the entries should be displayed at random. However I don't know any software that let us do that :( I will swap the entries each day to make a random-like effect.
@Windflamedmon: Go Well, imagine there are 400 people voting, I really don't want to read the 400 posts and write down the winners. I want it automated as possible :) As for the multi account, I hope no ones does that ... But it would require a much bigger infrastructure to avoid that than what we are willing to do for a fun contest (the prizes are only beta keys and curse premium ...).
As for puttin youtube link, I think it's better the way I did it, you just have to click to view things. You don't have to open youtube, get distracted by other videos and finally don't vote!

I really didn't expect that much entries and I had to decide what to do in nearly no time. I tried to do my best to give everyone the same chances and make the results as visible as possible. I know that's not perfect and this will definitively be improved for the next contests.
