I thought about making this map for a while, but it would be a project in which I would need some help, maybe one more helper, two at most.
It's a map based on Dawn of War II's The Last Stand.
The idea is not exactly to make an exact remake, but pull off of it to make a cool wave-based map.
Map Features
1-4 players (Hopefully we could adjust the difficulty according to the number of players in the game)
25 waves (We could start with 15 for earlier versions and build from there. Make some boss rounds here and there.)
An array of items. (Basic items at the store, rarer items found by killing monsters)
A choice of 6 heroes(Sniper, Mage, Tank...etc. you get the idea)
Heroes gain levels to grow a custom skill tree.
Heroes, items, minerals and levels (?) would be saved in-between games.
Abilities would be gained either by the custom skill tree OR by the items they equip before the game starts.
The shop is available between rounds for a limited time.
Tell me if you're interested in helping out.

Data Editor
AI Editor
UI Editor
Triggerer
Terrainer
I am experienced mostly in Triggering, although I can do the terraining and some of the Data work.
I'm looking for people who are comfortable with the editor and like to make things look good. I don't want it to look so-so, I want it to look the best it can. If there is anything else you can do, post it at the same time.
As for a time/date limit, there is none, I would rather have something of quality than something done fast. The responsibilities will be distributed once I decide you can help :).
Sadly to you maybe but a month ago I saw this kind of map in SC2 europe server already. Now its just disappeared somewhere in black hole. Was quite popular for a while.
You should also state in your post what you can do because right now it looks like you're looking for everything without being able to contribute to the project yourself.

I dont know about EU, but US had Infested Arena, which is basically this minus inter-game saves.
I know what map you're talking about, and honestly, it seemed pretty mediocre in terms of design and the way it functioned.
I am aiming for a much nicer looking design, and much nicer looking terrain than the one in the map. Notice as well how the map has disappeared from the current NA server.
As for EU, I have no way of knowing what goes on over there, cause I'm in NA.
As for what I'm able to do, I can do All the triggering and the Terraining myself, as well as a part of the Data if needed. However, I'm sure that some people are much more experienced than I am in some of these categories.
And another note about Infested Arena, they don't have any items that give abilities (aka Wargear). They only have upgrades. Interesting idea, but not the direction I'm going for.
My goal is to make gear that will drop the more you play, that is balanced and creates no advantage for the player who plays more than the next.
To anyone who played Last Stand, you know as well as I do that a player that is level 1 can be just as useful and strong as the player who is level 10.
looks around to see that PsychoMC's not here*
PsychoMC's map is fun, but there's a certain repetition to it that I dislike. It's the fact that you're bound to lose on your first game (within the first 7 waves or so) but when you go for another round, those waves are easy as cake (as long as it's not a lie).

As long as this statement holds true, then I'm pretty sure there'll be lots of people who'll want to play(Me included), just that they're not on the forums.
edit : Just to show some extra support, the maps Ducky listed are actually doing quite well in the EU server, despite the fact that Infested Arena hasn't seen an update for several months already. So just keep up the work and it should work out quite well.

The Last Stand looks quite interesting. But what you have taken away from it seems like just a pretty generic survival.

Really guys? Nobody would play this?

Being a fan of hero co-op maps I must admit that sc2 lacks them (at least on Europe). So far I've only seen 4 co-op hero survival/defense maps:
Psycho MC's The Last Stand
Infested Arena
Gates of Darkness
Death Haven (More like town defense but still a cool co-op map)
I'd recommend to check out "Psycho MC's The Last Stand" cause:
Anyway, go ahead and make it, I'm sure people will play it, at least once, I know I will.

I would play this. I want to badly try out PsychoMC's Last Stand. I play alot of the real Last Stand, I have 5 of 6 characters at lvl 20, it's great!
Again, I would so play this.
I think I've gotten enough feedback to know that I'd be willing to make this kind of map then.
I'll get started on it, but don't expect anything very soon, it's gonna be a pretty lengthy project.
