Yes, would be nice to take a look at whats have already been done. Maybe we could incorporate any of those things and revive the project in a new reincarnation.
My creative process is best at work while I tinker with something which makes it hard for me to structurly contribute ideas outside the context of the editor. But if anyone has a early version of a map or something I can toy with it and see if I can get some ideas. I'd like to contribute to something :) Just PM me.

I have some experience with mission making, my BioTech campaign have currenly seven missions avalible as a reference.
That's page 177, but if that is the first mission, may I suggest removing immortals since they are a higher tier. Usually they ease in the units in blizzard type campaigns.
Plan was first mission is the full mighty force of the protoss and then you are introduced to the actual hero is a less climatic situation in the second.

It should probably be higher-tiered then intro levels, e.g. you have stalkers, zealots and sentries. Enough units to not be boring.
I have some ideas on this and can help with some data/trigger spells. However it not nesessary should be a standart campaign. It can be something totaly different. For example, first mission: Data transmitter - On some abandoned planet protoss were running some cool robotic research (Like colossus or immortal) but some bad guys eliminate them (or they got selfowned). This planet is full of zerg creatures and Terrans which hunting for protoss relics. The only way that left to this planet is 3 warp pads, so protoss decided to send 3 most skilled warriors (zealots) that should stand against all this greedy terrans and lusty zergs until the precious data will be retrieved. So this will be like 3 heroes-defence map with zealot lvlup and different skill builds. Also could add some fun feature like broken portal, which will send this 3 zealots some random items to help them survive. For instance, it could be a powerfull artifact that will help a lot, or some space junk, or pork ribs, which you could throw to draw attention from your heroes and crowd control or just smash some face with that :D. This how this protoss transmitter may look like (did it while trying to make my first attempt in terraining XD) :
Small issues with that concept. The protoss are not known for their innovation, zerg want to assimilate the protoss and not their tech. Sounds like the start of a hero defence and not much of a campaign.

They spent the last 4 years creating new units (phoenix, void ray, oracle, etc.)
Well this is not necassarily should be the first mission, it can be like a side mission or whatever. And yes i didn't mean the zerg to hunt this artifacts, they are hunting for food, cuz they running out of it as they were abandoned by the swarm. So any new creature that enters this world is a potential lunch. And terrans are some mebius mercenaries that just came to the party (for example). And why would you want to follow the story so strictly, only blizzard can make the original story for protoss, this can be set up within the lore but not exactly following in a chronological order. I think it will be fun to make some humor in this missions, like everyone knowing protos for their discipline and their aspiration for excellence, but eventualy side characters doing something wrong or screwing up (but doesn't admit it) and you should deal with their mess :) (with some funny dialogs).

We only provided some ideas and made sketches of the first mission. I feel like making a new team and trying again is a good idea.

We tried and there were too many managers to people doing anything. We did make a rough sketch for the first mission/plot for a few story arcs.

Still your map is very small and the terrain is uninspiring.
