im working on a game similar to cod modernwarfare...
its a Top-down(mouse look) shooting game...
Whats on the Map?
-auto arrange players by level on start (for balanced teams)
-choose a game mode....right now all it has is Team death match, and Zombie survival
-choose Your character (custom models) then
-carry 2 types of weapons per hero/soldier (custom models)
-carry 1 perk
-carry items (gives you abilities)
Random unique stuff about the game:
Shoot while walking(animated)...
you'll see 2 weapon models attached to your unit...screenshot below...
missile system...
2 types of walls... can block bullets,grenades, blocks them by height (realistic blocking)... hiding behind a half wall can block 50% fire shots...
All Characters are dressed up in a spectre suit!
cant remember other stuff...
i need help and suggestions... Tooltips: im not that good with english so im having a hard time doing the tool tips... if i dont do anything about that.. then thats where my game is going pooff... my game is a bit hard to play... so if you can help me with this...
there are screen shots of the weapons/perks/items/character names below...
need more ideas....on Game modes... Weapons... or anything else you'd like to share...
Credits will be given on the loading screen...

Looks like a really high 3rd person camera style. Also just a thought but I don't think health and psi bar on the side are too efficient. You could go with gears of war style where screen darkens and a symbol appears as you get closer to death, then wait a while for it to heal back up, usually having some comment made when you're back at full health so you know it's full. Have the XP going across the bottom, we don't need to know the ranks until after the game. Weapons look nice.
The kills might want to be where the health and mana bars are. Not the whole side just a small part of it. Probably make it smaller so it doesn't take up so much space on the screen. You could go with a circle effect, gun in the middle and a mana bar around the circle that goes down clockwise as mana is used. That's if you use gear of war style health indicator.
I'm just assuming the green and blue bars are health and mana.

I have one question. Your half wall terrain that blocks 50% of the shots, does it block it because the player aimed to low (realistic fps aiming) or is it a statistical chance that it blocks 50% of the shots. Because if it is statistical than I would love to know how you did such a thing.
I would suggest one thing though. Find a terrainer, someone who specializes in just making terrain. I understand the necessity for fps/3rd person game mechanics type terrain, but there is no reason that it needs to look like a poorly made paint ball course.
the hp system i made works like modern warfare, you get these blood effects on your screen then you start healing after 5 secs if not damaged... you get heart beating sound efx too... the only thing is it has bars...
symbol thing sounds like the blood efx... should i just make an option to hide the bars?
it blocks by the weapons accuracy...
comparing the light machine gun(1/10) and the sniper(10/10)
bullets face & height will be set to a random of
unit facing (plus/negative) to the accuracy #
bullet height is 1.3
half wall is also 1.3(i used ignore height)
1/10=1.9
10/10=0.2
bullet facing=180
first random (0 to 1.9) = 1.9
(bullet facing(180)) + 1.9 .....or -1.9
then height to (1.9 / 2)= 0.9 .....or -0.9
bullet of height < wall height - then - block

its not fps style... u cant move the camera up down.. only side ways... did this to reduces lag

This game looks AMAZING. Terrain needs a bit of editting, like people said. Also, PLEAZE don't use all those elipses(...) ! It's annoying.
First of all looks awesome you already beat up some maps with the custom UI and models =) As for abilities have you considered under-barrel atachments this could be many things like EMP, plasma, hologram decoy or just a regular grenade, maybe laser targeter/designator? although i have no idea what it would be good for...
