I'm drafting the technical design for a SCII total conversion, and there's one aspect that I don't think I've seen in an existing map/mod :
Is it possible to include "persistent" elements to a map, such as player scores, hosted on a non-battlenet server ?
I.E have a custome set of achievements in the map, unlocked tracking user's performance accross several games, or a custom ladder system.
Currently the only way to save data is using a bank. A bank is a file saved on the players pc. You can't have a custom ladder or save data on battle.net. Neither can you save it on another server. However, there is a possibility to read the data stored in a bank and use it with third party program and then reload it in the game.
Hi SCIIMapster community !

Can do / no can do ?
Thanks a lot for your time (:
