I can certainly attempt one in the near future, but if you have seen any of my melee-esque games so far, you'll know that I am terrible at melee :) I will see if duckies is available this weekend for it as I assume you'll want to see more than just me losing to computers, or could probably at least get a random player or two to join if nothing else.
Hmm. 4-8 players is recommended, but you can do it with 2. The Lieutenant just doesn't get any help managing the marines he makes if he's the only one on the Marine team.
I've also just now updated the tutorials. Hopefully they explain things better now.
EDIT: Wow, there is a steady stream of players playing my map almost at all times, and it's only been online for two days.
Didn't have much luck last weekend recording, but finally did last weekend, and finally got around to rendering the first video. Amaroq64, I will render yours in the next day or two, although I am pretty sure we broke the game pretty early on, so may not be the best video ever.
Anyways, that said, here is Conquistadors by MaskedImposter and Auto Squads by Trieva and Wargirlwargirl. I left my final thoughts on both after I finished playing each in the video, so won't be posting that here like I have been.
Hi Zahmoot, I'll have to check with duckies to see when he will be available, that sort of thing. Typically we end up playing around 12 am - 1 am(00:00 - 01:00) PST or later, so getting a lot of people can be troublesome. Is this a full map, extension mod, or? I'm also curious what you mean by ground units being cheese, what does that mean exactly? :)
Hi Deadzergling, your time went from am to am kinda confusing. Anyways this is a full starcraft 2 map, ground units are cheese because they are not really supposed to be used, this map has a single ground based connection between the two ships and it could be blocked on both sides. your supposed to use many different kinds of air units to get the proper counters to get an aerial advantage. If you manage to sneak a drop ship with ground units on the enemy ship you could really cheese them kinda like using cloaked units in a melee game if they don't have ground defense as a majority of the ships can only attack air units.
Hey DeadZergling, whenever possible (No pressure whatsoever!), I would appreciate it if you took the time to try out my custom map/race. I know melee related things are not nessecaraly your thing, but I hope you give it a try.
Map Name : Xeyed Custom Race (4) Cyclone Jungle

Hey Leon, consider yourself on my list. Can do on both good and bad, I try to be overly critical in my videos to help mappers see what could really bug lazy/dumb users. It isn't to be mean, but to help :) I have actually only honestly disliked 1 or 2 maps I played so far, so don't take my harshness too hard guys.
And here is Aliens: Infestation by Amaroq64. Has a lot of potential, pretty sure we borked the game within 5 minutes though. That doesn't stop me from trying to make it work!
Will give it a try when I can, Supernova134. Not sure how, but I completely missed your message 5 hours ago.... The sleep deprivation that comes with mapping late night and working are catching up with me again!
Sorry there isn't much for Marines to do yet, haha. I'm definitely going to be adding in stuff for them to do.
It also doesn't help that it was just you and your friend playing for the first time. It seems that a small group of dedicated players has formed and they're more experienced. They chat and joke with each other while wandering around and they check the vents for the alien jumping down from them.
Also, your Alien player messed up too. He was supposed to stay attached to the Ovipositor and keep laying eggs and having runners bring back civilians to stick more facehuggers to. (I need to figure out a way to make this more clear, though with experience, players figure that out too.)
If he had stayed attached, his army would've slowly grown. Every one of his adult units can abduct civilians. So as time went on, his army has the potential to grow exponentially and your team should've started seeing him more and more.
The Sergeant leaving early did definitely bug the game. His units should've been given to the Corporal player. Though I don't think you were the Corporal either.
EDIT: Wait, you were the Corporal. It should've given you the Sergeant's Marines. I'll look into that.
I was the alien player. All I could make was a facehugger that couldn't get into base because it was locked. I tried to re-enter with it through wall spot where I left previously but was unable to do so. After making a full circle with facehugger around the base and finding only closed gates I went to see if maybe my only attacking unit (Queen) could damage gates. When I tried to go back into facility with queen - she couldn't re-enter it.
I also scouted one other facility in search for civilians but it was empty as well, so I deduced that only middle fortification has any infestable life.
Was able to get my requests recorded yesterday. When duckies says you can count on him being unreliable, he means it! Anyways, will be posting these as I finish uploading them throughout the next day or so. Apologies to duckies' fans, is just me and the AI this time!
First one posted is Xeyed Custom Race (4) Cyclone Jungle by Solstice/Supernova134, pretty nice custom race, with lots of custom models, although some absolutely reek of their base models. Worth checking out if you really enjoy melee, but want to try something other than Zerg/Protoss/Terran.
I know you found several problems/counter-intuitive stuff, but with the Ferrion and the Massalisk I have a couple known bugs I am working on. Ferrion's tooltips are buggy and don't display correct information, because I the editor, I happened to only change the Alert Tooltip (Alerts are the things that show up on the left side, if you have them on) and not the normal tooltip. The Ferrion actually defaults with transport and requires an upgrade to detect. As for the Massalisk selection problem, that was an unprecedented bug created in just the last version I am currently trying to fix.
EDIT: BTW, I prefer Solstice. I used to use a sc2 account called Supernova, but have since moved on to my Solstice account, any idea on how to name change on mapster?
Solstice it is then. I'm not sure if it is possible without just making a new account, you'd have to ask one of the mods on that one.
Anywho, next up is The Battle for Noranda Glacier by LeonBennet/HektorofTroy, a fun little single player campaign style mission. I'm sure yall will get more points than me, but here is my attempt(s) at it :) The amount of wandering and cheesing the system I do is a lot, by the way.
Next will be Space-Cruisers, I'll try to have that up in the next day or two.
The last request I had for the time being is finally done uploading, that being Space Cruisers by Zahmoot/Michel . Space Cruisers is a ship based tug of war as far as I can tell, and it is a pretty well designed one at that. My only real complaints being supply depots and the game having a slower pace than you'd expect from ship to ship combat. Still, definitely worth checking out just to play with the ships if nothing else!
Still taking requests at this time, but I might take a break from it soon, so if you have anything you really want to see me bungle my way through, let me know on here or via PM.
Hey deadzergling I would love to see your feedback on my other great map "Floodlings II" with at least 4 players 2 being runners and the other 2 playing as artillery.
Thanks so much, DeadZergling! I really enjoyed watching you play my map. Hopefully, with more publicity, I'll be able to continue recieving feedback and become motivated enough to come out with another map like it.
I'm thinking the next one will feature siege tanks and goliaths to emphasize good positioning rather than marine/medic micro.

4 players minimum huh, well will see what I can do there. It sounds a bit complex in ways, so expect many errors to be made!

Hey, i am very interested in your feedback you are willing to test my map with a full lobby: http://www.sc2mapster.com/maps/space-cruisers/
Please add me on starcraft so we can play together, or so i could set up a game and answer questions early on.

Hey man,
I'm a new mapmaker and I just published my map a few days ago. I would absolutely love your feedback, both good and bad!
It's called "The Battle of Noranda Glacier," and I made a thread about it here: http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/player-zone/map-feedback/81791-the-battle-of-noranda-glacier/#p1
Thank you so much, and I look forward to seeing your reply video!
