Thanks so much! I really appreciate any attention I can get. Something about pouring yourself into a project and watching others experience it is very satisfying, and I hope it to inspires me to work on the next mission in the series.
Thanks so much, DeadZergling! I really enjoyed watching you play my map. Hopefully, with more publicity, I'll be able to continue recieving feedback and become motivated enough to come out with another map like it.
I'm thinking the next one will feature siege tanks and goliaths to emphasize good positioning rather than marine/medic micro.
That would be awesome! It's sad that nobody has played my map in weeks. The first few days after it was published I got all twelve reviews, and they were all very positive, but I just haven't gotten any more attention. I want to start working on the next mission in the custom campaign, but I'm afraid it won't be worth it.
Battle of Noranda Glacier is a story-driven map with excellent gameplay mechanics based off micro, positioning and strategy. I added a scoring system to an otherwise “play-once” map that makes it competitive and challenging. There is also a bonus round to see how long you can survive when waves of enemies come at you relentlessly.
All in all, BNG is an intense, story-driven experience with complexity, competition and challenge to support gameplay. I hope you give it a try! I could use some feedback, even.
___
Background to “Battle of Noranda Glacier”
Battle of Noranda Glacier is my interpretation of the first battle fought between the Kel-Morians and the Confederacy during the Guild Wars. The Guild Wars takes place before the first Starcraft game, and is mostly acknowledged through lore in the comics and books.
Becoming inspired to re-create some of the epicness (with a little artistic license, too), I have created a map featuring the first battle which launches the two factions into a brutal economic and militaristic conflict.
The first battle features heroes such as:
Captain Arcturus Mengsk
Captain Edmund Duke
Sergeant Mire (Original Character)
___
Gameplay
While the mission is story-focussed and casual-friendly, it can also be competitive in nature. There is a scoring system in the game which rewards thoroughness and professional level-micro. Achieving a perfect score of 15,000 points will let you in on the secret cheat codes I have in the game, and the sky is the limit to your score in the Bonus Round!
From looting supply caches around the colony, to fending off ambushes, to reinforcing your own army.
___
Conclusion
Play my map! Get the top ten score fast and forever seal your name in the game! Get the highest bonus round score and post about your experience here.

Hey man,
I'm a new mapmaker and I just published my map a few days ago. I would absolutely love your feedback, both good and bad!
It's called "The Battle of Noranda Glacier," and I made a thread about it here: http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/player-zone/map-feedback/81791-the-battle-of-noranda-glacier/#p1
Thank you so much, and I look forward to seeing your reply video!
