For the past couple of months, me and a mate have been developing a SC2 map that is essentially a remake of Tech Wars in WC3, but to a much higher level of quality and with lots more cool things.
Anyway, we've finally got to the point where we think we should bring some outside people in to test it with us. We've made some AI, and it works pretty nicely but it's obviously not the same as playing against humans, so we could use some help :)
Quick summary:
- 3v3 in 3 lanes
- Build buildings that autospawn units
- Controlling technology, by having more units than the enemy near some pylons in the centre, unlocks more units.
- Units go to the nearest tech, then to the nearest tech to the enemy, then to the enemy. So you can build to back up your allies but your units will only help you DESTROY your own opponent.
- Destroy the enemy bases to win.
- Buy harvesters to increase your income.
- Working (but not that challenging) AI
- Quite a few custom units and other things
What we need help with:
- BALANCING. This is the main thing. There are definitely some units that are far too powerful in certain situations, but it's hard to identify them playing against bots.
- Bugs. We can generally find most bugs ourselves, but obviously the more people looking, the better.
- Suggestions. We've really left the map open to fairly indefinite expansion, so any suggestions are welcome, and if they're good we may well include them.
My ID is snazzman#349 on EU, the other developer of this map is called marc512 on here and he's Overdrive (will add # later), also on EU.
It's probably best to just post here though because we aren't on bnet unless we're testing this map basically.

Well, you're supposed to stop your teammates from dying by building in their base :P
As for the losing as soon as one player on your team dies, yep, but that will all change in the major update we'll be releasing soon (maybe today, maybe tomorrow).
realy like the game but there are somme balance isues because there are no couners to somme compositions
Mass infested goliat
this stratagy gets countred by diamondbacks but as soon therere are 8 Infested factorys the broodlings eat up the diamond backs before thay can harm the goliats
And in case you try to go air vs it he can go mass wikings with range
Mass dropships
if a player builds like 8 dropships spawns he wil have so many reenforcements from the drop ships that you can't hold it with tanks ore other things once he has a push established
and if you build wikings to kill them he wil do it to and he wil win because of the ground marines
One builder
this is not a unit composition it is a team stratagy that had a 100% winrate before the suply limit but it still has a 95% win rate now
2players ondly build harvesters and send the money they don't need to the third player
the third player wil build MMM in each lane and wil get good upgrades for them
why is this so strong ?
you ondly have to pay once in stead of 3x for a upgrade for all lanes
and ondly once for advanced units
and in adition to that once they have reached a pylon they go attack all the same player and that player is super screwed(there is no way to hold vs this if not the entire team builds in his lane from the start)

Warped out shadowzelots and shadow stalkers won't get killed by the V of the Planetary
Suggestion
I suggest ading an aditional upgrade path for battle crusher that you coud upgrade the bc into instead of in to jaksons revenge
Artillery ship
Does ondly attack massiv units
attackspeed 5(jes it shoud ondly attack once every 5s)
attackrange 15
Damage (Big)

Jes and that is exactly what hapens if you fight premade vs premade
but if you fight premade vs public they need to mouch time to switch there team stratagy and wil end up building all i the pressured lane and and loose because the premade team has faster upgrades
But the good think is it's super easy to spot if they do one builder but if your ally's did build unit's to you wil have a disadvantage if you switch to it

Its ok but theres almost nothing to encourage team work. Also its just a fight to loose first as once one person dies that team has lost.
