Identical units can be created and die normally, its just the occasional single unit that doesn't die. Even the same units owned by the same player alive at the same time die normally.
The unit that it happens the most with is the Ultralisk, however it has occasionally happened with others. The units have had all their stats modified but nothing else.
The units survive for a very long time under constant attack so I dont think it could be regen.
I was wondering if perhaps it was something to do with the upgrade giving them health just as they were about to die getting them 'stuck' on 0hp but not dieing or something like that?
In my map every so often a unit becomes invincible yet has 0hp. I don't really know what could cause it.
There are upgrades that increase the max and current health of the units. If that is used while an invincible unit is around then usually the unit is killable again.
Hi there, when I made my map I was using the old method of changing the UI using a text file, I see now you can use the editor to change it.
Should I delete my old text file and change it all inside the editor? Also I cannot work out how to change the UI in the editor, when I click on a portion of text to change it I can't edit it. Is this because im using a text file?
Well its been a while since I last played SC2 but I finally got HOTS and have just started playing through the campaign. I am already very excited about all the new zerg units and the possibilities they might create with Genetic Lab Wars!
Still not sure how I want to introduce them all, either fixed paths but you can choose a strain like in the story or able to train all through different trees etc.
I have several ideas that will hopefully improve gameplay too. As always will welcome any feedback people have.
EDIT: Oh and looks like Blizzard made the jumping Zergling for me :D
I've just had a brief go at updating this. I have improved the UI, balanced a few things and fixed a couple of bugs.
I have also introduced a new rule which limits the Tier 5 units you can build. Your team can train 1 T5 unit per bunker you loose. This gives the loosing team a chance to fight back and stops them being steamrolled.
Hopefully I will get a new video up sometime as the one above is quite old.
I think the whole space marine thing was based on how Marines and Space Marines look pretty much identical, not the names.
Then there's things like the Tyranids and the Zerg and stuff. Not really worth arguing about in my opinion but never mind. The Dawn of War warhammer games are fantastic though.
Hadn't realised people accused Blizzard of ripping off fantasy warhammer with warcraft, its all just pretty much generic fantasy from both side.
I found that periodic events caused disconnections during the loading screen. I turned all periodic event triggers off in the editor then turned them on in-game after 1 second. It seems to work ok now. Map initiation triggers may also have been a problem like you said.
Lots of stuff seems pointless at school, and some will be depending on what you want to do.
I don't know what type of job you want to do when your older but theres a good chance you will need to read and write, maybe produce reports which require you to analyse other documents etc. Also if you intend to go to University you will need to write essays, dissertations, reports etc.
All of the above requires skills you learnt in English, History and other subjects. I hated studying Romeo and Juliet but skills you learn from from it do help you no matter how boring it is.
History teaches you to look at different sources, make links, judge how reliable they are and come to your own conclusions. I cant really see how anyone could possibly think those skills could be pointless.
Thats just two examples.
The context may seem pointless but the skills are not.
And to kind of echo Hobrow, try and enjoy school, its generally a pretty good time of your life :)
This is from what I can work out a result of the tentacle attacks. After its been killed whichever unit it attacked last takes periodic damage as if its still being hit by the tentacle.

Its no where near the highest amount allowed.

Its ok but theres almost nothing to encourage team work. Also its just a fight to loose first as once one person dies that team has lost.

Go to a dubstep concert and you will see no one dancing like that guy in those videos.
But as many people have already pointed out a music genre is not defined by one random guy dancing to it.

Thanks I applied the casternotdead to the damage effect and it seems to have worked!

Still hurts units after it has been killed.
This is from what I can work out a result of the tentacle attacks. After its been killed whichever unit it attacked last takes periodic damage as if its still being hit by the tentacle.
Anyone know why this is?
EDIT: I'ts been unedited.

Yeah that would be amazing, I'll PM you.
