Zeldarules and I have been organizing the production of several advertisement videos for Map of the Week. Here's how it works. Several authors with their maps submitted to the program will lend us video footage of their maps. The video editors will take together the footage from several maps, tie it together with some music/text, and make it into an advertisement for MOTW. The winning advertisement will be voted for via poll.
Here's the problem: we have successfully gathered footage of 5 different maps, but i'm the only person who has volunteered to make an advertisement out of them. What I'm asking for is for more people to take the given vids together and make their own advertisements from them. They can submit the ads, write their name into their vid, and have a chance to get their vid chosen. Sorry, there's no benefit, but it will help the project which MAY benefit your map.
I would do it if I had any decent video editing software :( I even made a trailer in my demo version of premiere elements, but it's got a big ugly watermark. >.<
i have a mac... which comes with quicktime (for screen recording) and imovie (for video editing) for free
basically, i freakin love macintosh :D
sorry if that doesn't help, but this might:
you can probably find something (like a windows ripoff of imovie) for free on a freeware site... just type "free video editor" into google and see what ya get
I could do it in movie maker...It's just....Bech. I guess photoshop for the logo and movie maker for the clips....I'll throw something together, but it's not going to be the most amazing thing ever.

Feel free to Send me a PM if you have any questions/concerns!
You know I can video edit after all I did make this:
If you can provide the raw footage, etc I can do whatever you wish. I just can't record the footage on my own since I'd look like crap on my low settings laptop xD
I'm still sulking in my corner with the pathetic, always crashing & crap-tacular windows movie maker.
Is the outside world nice, xcorbo? Do things not crash and lock up every 5 seconds?
>.<

Lol! That is exactly how I feel every time I use WMM.
Last year I used it to make a project and It crashed while saving three different times.. And like 10 other times for no reason at all.
P.S I bashed that computer 400+ times just for your pain.

Basically, any video editor that doesn't crash everyso often isn't a video editor. :P
Windows movie maker is a fantastic program, by the way, it's just that it lacks a lot of features and flexibility, especially in the effects department, but what it does, it couldn't do it better. My guess it's that it's just aimed to make quick "slideshows" kind of things and not really any "professional" editing.

Music was from Garrett B. (DJ Audyle)
WARNING- Attached file is totally not finished or even polished at all. It's crap. ;)
well i'd appreciate your participation no matter the result... i'm currently uploading my vid to youtube. it'll take about an hour or 2
i'm sure you could make a much better vid without that damned watermark
I'd have made one if I had a decent piece video software..... But adobe thinks they need to charge thousands of dollars for their suite.
