I was wondering, is it possible for a map to retrieve the date or time from battle.net?

No wait...I lied. Actually, its impossible.
You could have an external program fetch that data from a server or something, and then write it to the bank(which the map could then read). Still, its really messy and probably wont work well anyway(crashes, sync errors).
