I just attempted the pilot. I really liked the custom units, the tips on the 4 characters that gave some background, and the story is off to an interesting start. I found the dialogue pretty funny at some points too, in a good way.
There were 2 issues I had though. The banelings seemed to unburrow right on top of my units, which killed my medic pretty fast my first 2 playthroughs. I then learned my lesson and kept my medic WAY in the back and it was fine. However I feel that this needs some balancing (maybe only have a single baneling in each group - it seemed like there were 2 but I could be wrong), otherwise the player is going to die since they don't know this beforehand. Or just have the banelings not unburrow right on top of your units.
The next thing is that I think the boss is way too hard, especially for the first mission. The fire beam was almost impossible to avoid since the beam moves very fast and the space to move around is very limited. Also I think it has too much health, plus it has the ability to heal itself. I tried several times and could never get its health below 4000/5000.

I have now played your first map, good work!
I like the idea of playing as Kyra han. The story seems interesting and I like the tip about each hero but also about the feral zerg.
Terraining in my opinion is quite good.
Regarding the boss the heal of that beast was insane ;) unfortunately the boss stopped attacking me about when it had changed platform for the 4th time. This has also happened in my maps..
Overall nice work, looking forward to playing more!
Bad things first: The boss only unburrowed once (to the right side) and was facing to the east. then he just sat there and died. didn't even attack any more. so maybe troubleshoot the AI problem.
Good: I like the heroes and their abilities. Going into it, I thought I would be overwhelmed with too many abilities/units to handle, but they all fit together rather nicely and I wasn't stressed out after a minute or so.
Also the cutscenes are cool and the storyline is compelling so far. I want to play the next map!
I don't think the banelings are necessarily imba, it just teaches you to play cautiously. I liked the surprises. And the healing power was more than enough. All about that micro/conservation strategy.
I give the terrain a 6/10 it was pretty decent and I liked the variation but sometimes I was wondering if I was supposed to be in a cave or just a weird small canyon. And a few places looked a little bare.
Overall though, very good job, pm me if you need a good beta tester!
I was able to beat the boss in M1 without too much trouble and didn't have any bugs with it not attacking at any point.
I enjoyed M2 but I had played the Pandora map that it's based on, so the terrain and boss weren't new to me. I will say that the boss was much easier to defeat with 4 heroes instead of just the one that you have in the Pandora map. I think the boss fight is balanced well, so I wouldn't recommend any changes there. I did notice that the bridge that collapses is suddenly fixed again after the cutscene with the Collossi. I'm not sure if this is when it fixes itself, but this is when I noticed it. It shows that the bridge is broken on the mini map and it won't let me cross it, but it appears fixed. I also noticed that F2 doesn't select all your units. My only other recommendation would be to vary the enemy units up a bit. Overall I'm intrigued by the story so far.

- Really? I was afraid it will be to difficult for some because I rework the Boss AI to attack 4 heroes (not just one) and you find it easier? that is amazing.
- Vary enemy unit? got it
- Receive green light from fellow author, they give permission to have their heroes appear in the hammer of dawn as cameos. Can't go to details as not to spoil the story, but I am positive it will be awesome!
- Liked the collapsing bridge, I also would like to use more dynamic parts in my terraining.
- I died at some point and skipped the into cinematic and after that the text "Press "esc" to skip etc" was still there until the next cinematic.
- Darmanis portrait was missing for me at all her transmissions.
- I also found the boss a bit easier but perhaps more balanced as Deltronlive said.
A tip, if Darmanis is a memory or something like that. I personally would found it cool if you changed her opacity so she would be a bit transparent =D
It will be interesting to see where it goes from here.
Had a little extra time on my hands to be able to play this. Tried it, but couldn’t complete it as I believe the Columb Bush standoff was bugged. Columb can’t die because he has the “Hero Incapacitate” behaviour on from Belly of the Beast. I tried leaving to see if I could progress anyway but I couldn’t.
I really enjoy the lore tips we get for each hero. Very cool and in-depth lore.
Terrain: There’s not much to say about the terrain, since it’s not really custom-made. While I’m personally not a big fan of reusing Blizzard’s existing terrain, I did notice you changed minor features, so perhaps either terrain is not your strong suit, or the map layout of that mission worked perfectly for your mission idea, which is totally understandable! Imo, the design actually worked pretty well too.
Difficulty: The beginning section was incredibly hard to deal with. I liked how Jack had spider mines, forcing me to retreat and engage the enemies very carefully. Kaiser’s very low energy region made it so I couldn’t heal constantly.
I think the amount of Spider Mines may be a little too soul-destroying. Died so many times on those sections because og groups spawning right beneath my feet. Specifically because they go directly for Mira Kel, who can’t take many shots.
Other than that, I feel that the difficulty for the rest of the mission really doesn’t match with the start of the mission. The second section could be buffed to make up for your amount of extra abilities.
I like all the little references, not only with Baldwin, but also the four guys named after Ninja Turtles, the names of cheats and what not. Very funny!
I also like all the unique skins for the Columb Bush, your heroes and other units. I believe I even Kaiser was a hkdralisk from Heroes of the Storm if I’m not mistaken. The point is, it looks neat!
Bugs etc:
There are several typing errors scattered around the map. I didn’t choose to include any of them here as they are very minor things and there was in many different places.
At the beginning, there were too neutral Mutualises that just stood there. Not sure if we were supposed to have control of them or not.
There was no icon for Kaiser’s in-game tip.
When a skip the second cutscene before I take control of Kyra Han, the Ben Ar and Mira Kel, the game bugs out, and I still control Handsome Jack and Kaiser, but I can’t progress because the map hasn’t changed.
At some point later in the mission while we were checking out houses, the music suddenly stopped and never played again. Can’t give you an exact time, unfortunately!
Columb Bush is marked as “Jim Raynor”.
StarCraft II: Annihilation Campaign - A 24 mission single-player campaign featuring unique heroes, custom tracks, boss battles, a varied set of mission scenarios and three intersecting storylines.
I played M3 last night but wasn't able to get past the boss. I really liked the boss encounter until it started doing the attack that you can't avoid (at least I couldn't figure a way to avoid it in about 5 tries). This attack kills your unit (usually the medic) in a single volley. If there is a way to avoid this attack please let me know. I did really like its other attacks, the one you could avoid and the stasis trap thing that you have to attack to free your unit. The trap mechanic is a feature I haven't seen before in SC2.
Other than the boss, I would recommend making the hotkeys more consistent between the heroes. I liked the beginning portion with all the lore and story progression. The second half before the boss encounter where you are fighting the wildlife was fine. I feel like this mission is supposed to be mostly story driven, which is fine with me.

Terrain, I am a big fan of recycling. And yes the map layout of that mission fit perfectly in my imagine of Lost Paradise (reference to hanson liberty campaign). I've receive several pm feedback to do the terrain on my own, so i've decided to do just that, that is why I scraped mission 5 and 6 and redo from zero. It may take a while for me to finish it considering .. well... The pilot mission alone took me nearly 3 weeks just for the terrain.
Ahh I see, I shall reconsider the enemies placement a bit more.
Right, I forget about the 2 mutalisk, was testing kaiser and jack dps on them to see if imba or not.
Kaiser Icons - must've forget about that also.
Cutscene bugs out - I will have to check on that.
The music stop? haven't notice that before, I'll test play it again.
I design the boss fight to be a little more challenging since from previous feedback I was told the Boss fight was easy.
That is the boss ultima, it 1 hit kill any unit under 250 HP. So how does Mira Kel survive with only 150 HP you may ask. Well here is a hint : Shield .
Yeah, the 3rd mission 1st half is mostly story driven. I tried to balance it in the second half with the wild life and the boss . I hope the difference isn 't too contrast.
Just played your campaign. The terrain is very beautiful done. I like the story its good and the humor isnt over the top. Im a guy but like kyra-s pink model (dont know what that tells about me)... :D
The boss battle in mission 1 is extremely hard.. I had to use saves during battle which i almost never use. There was a bug thought i stood in the middle of the 2 platforms where he spawns and i just waited there didnt attack him... all of a sudden he tunnels to the other platform and dosnt attack me anymore. I beat him while he was completely frozen :D I think it has to do with the fact that i put my high templar and the medic below the 2 platforms ( they dodnt deal dmg and 2 units less to micro) and as soon as they joined the slaughter party he started to attack again.
Ah i forgot on mission 1 the main objective text is doubled.
Hammer of Dawn is my single player custom campaign for starcraft 2.
I've release the pilot map for the campaign, please let me know what you think about the map.
Is it to easy or to difficult, what you like, what you don't like.
Or perhaps you find an error / bug that I might have missed out. I will try to fix it soon as possible
Please enjoy the mission .
