My name is Jared (you may notice also that my project was posted by user_37055, however I could not fix the username so I created a new account and am reposting a full description of my project) and I am working on a new project, "Dark Corners ORPG". What I am primarily looking for in this are two things, the main is someone who is skilled with data editing, and the second is someone whom can create beautiful terrain for the project. Presently I am the only member of the team and will be doing everything myself. Anything I do not know how to do I am looking up and learning very quickly. I am a computer programmer in real life, and as such the Triggers are very simple for me to understand. However I have only delved slightly into the data editing and terraining, so my skills are somewhat lacking currently. I imagine as the project progresses however that I will move closer and closer to mastering those aspects as well. Anyways here is a little information about the project. Currently the list of things that are complete is small (as my original map sadly got deleted and I had to restart), however it is going quickly. The hero selection is completed, along with the menu's and hero stats (health/energy, and will be adding more information shortly). The quest log is completed in terms of concept and design, I just need the story/quests written to make it usable. In the near future (today/tomorrow) I will be adding more (I am planning on finishing a few more menu systems, advanced stats menu, region triggers, and some minor text tag work (floating text, damage, levels, etc). The map itself is going to be the largest size possible, and when it is complete will cover the first 1-10 storyline quests, along with 3 additional quests. It will also roughly cover levels 1-30, and contain instance dungeons (or something similar). The game when completed, I hope to span 2 maps, levels 1-50, and contain 20-30 quests, 10+ instances, and over 100 items. Not to mention 4 unique hero classes for the first release.
Currently I require the following...
Expert Data editor - Main jobs are to create the in-game units (heroes, enemies, items), along with some work into skills/abilities.
Terrain Editor - Someone to create detailed terrain based on my layouts.
Also, if anyone is interested... I am looking for a few dedicated testers. I would like to finish the components I am working on for all players before moving onto the next. As such I need a few people interested in playing it on BNet to test. Some notes as well, I am not fixing anything for my dialog's quite yet, as I don't know how much my style will change by the end of it. As such I am only placing the generic ones until I decide on something completely.
I have been progressing steadily on this map, and doing everything myself. I am curious about finding 1-2 people who are interested in deticated testing with me. If your interested, maybe 1-3 hours a week or every other week.
I worked on Element TD for some time as a Data Editor, but then kinda faded outta the starcraft 2 map creation scene. But am keen to pick it back up, id happily be the data editor you're looking for ^_^

Good luck with it! I'm fan of all kinds of RPG's, so I'd like to play yours as soon as it availible for testing ;) Dwarfius.
