    Hey, I know this topic is kind of old, however I am coming across the same issue, and I was wondering if there are any good developments here.

    Currently I have a behavior that uses vetrency, and this behavior levels a few attributes that it uses. However I also want a separate system to add more points then what the vetrency behavior gives. Any thoughts on how to change it? I would prefer something trigger based, I already have a dialog set up for it, just not sure how to edit it.

    I have been progressing steadily on this map, and doing everything myself. I am curious about finding 1-2 people who are interested in deticated testing with me. If your interested, maybe 1-3 hours a week or every other week.

    I looked into it a little more in depth... I am thinking if I just make an invisible, un-select-able unit to be placed when a building dies with the sight radius required, it will probably work decently (though I am concerned that it may cause the map to lag slightly if people destroy a lot of buildings).

    Hey,

    To start, I have two visibility related problems that I need addressed. The first is that I need buildings to not be able to see through (kind of like a vale). So that when you are surrounded by buildings, you can only see the ones you are beside, but not the ones behind. I am thinking that there is an option or something to do this that I am just missing.

    The second thing I am attempting to do is that when you destroy a building, the area you destroyed it is now visible. Sadly there is a very large area to cover so I am unable to just trigger some small specific areas. I need something generic that will work for every building.

    I am also debating creating a black mask for the entire map, along with a very small sight radius on the units, so that they just cannot see far enough to see past the buildings, then have no fog of war. However the only issue with this is that I don't want people to see outside of the area they own all the time.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the responses everyone!

    I am currently only looking for people who are very good with the data editor. I am handling all of the terrain/triggers currently myself because I am able to. However it is taking way too much time for me to learn to use the data editor. I may update sometime later and do something with the terrain... However currently I am capable to do everything I need, with the exception of data.

    Also, if anyone is interested... I am looking for a few dedicated testers. I would like to finish the components I am working on for all players before moving onto the next. As such I need a few people interested in playing it on BNet to test. Some notes as well, I am not fixing anything for my dialog's quite yet, as I don't know how much my style will change by the end of it. As such I am only placing the generic ones until I decide on something completely.

    Hello and welcome!

    My name is Jared (you may notice also that my project was posted by user_37055, however I could not fix the username so I created a new account and am reposting a full description of my project) and I am working on a new project, "Dark Corners ORPG". What I am primarily looking for in this are two things, the main is someone who is skilled with data editing, and the second is someone whom can create beautiful terrain for the project. Presently I am the only member of the team and will be doing everything myself. Anything I do not know how to do I am looking up and learning very quickly. I am a computer programmer in real life, and as such the Triggers are very simple for me to understand. However I have only delved slightly into the data editing and terraining, so my skills are somewhat lacking currently. I imagine as the project progresses however that I will move closer and closer to mastering those aspects as well. Anyways here is a little information about the project. Currently the list of things that are complete is small (as my original map sadly got deleted and I had to restart), however it is going quickly. The hero selection is completed, along with the menu's and hero stats (health/energy, and will be adding more information shortly). The quest log is completed in terms of concept and design, I just need the story/quests written to make it usable. In the near future (today/tomorrow) I will be adding more (I am planning on finishing a few more menu systems, advanced stats menu, region triggers, and some minor text tag work (floating text, damage, levels, etc). The map itself is going to be the largest size possible, and when it is complete will cover the first 1-10 storyline quests, along with 3 additional quests. It will also roughly cover levels 1-30, and contain instance dungeons (or something similar). The game when completed, I hope to span 2 maps, levels 1-50, and contain 20-30 quests, 10+ instances, and over 100 items. Not to mention 4 unique hero classes for the first release.

    Currently I require the following... Expert Data editor - Main jobs are to create the in-game units (heroes, enemies, items), along with some work into skills/abilities. Terrain Editor - Someone to create detailed terrain based on my layouts.
